I had brought my Bernedoodle puppy (he was 1yr at the time) to board and train for 3 wks.Overall it went great. I had months of puppy classes prior, but there were still things he and I were struggling with together. He had a big problem with jumping on people who come through the door. The major reason this was a problemI have young kids who often have their friends coming in and out of the house. As you can imagine a 70lb dog jumping on a 3'2" child... well, it scared them. It caused me stress, which caused him stress. I didn't know how to even train this out of him. And there were a few other listening queues that needed some rounding out. When we picked him up from the training facility, he was very happy to see us. He was well fed, and had his normal demeanor. But, as with any dog who is missing their family, he was very happy to see us. *** worked right then and there with me, *****, and my two kids, on how to help them learn to manage him with walking on the leash without pulling. It took a few minutes but it's effective and to this day (2 yrs later) his leash manners are amazing.Admittedly, his door (with company) etiquette is lacking. He doesn't jump anymore, but he doesn't stand back like I want. He had this desired behavior when I brought him home, but I failed to continue enforcing it so that's on me. And I know the methods to gain it back, because part of my 3 week board and train included 6 wks (1 per wk) of training that followed the boarding process. The idea is to train the dog, and then I join the classes to train MYSELF with him.I'm a timid person and *** has a strong personality. She intimidated me initially and I thought she was a meanie pants. I was wrong. She's just really busy running a non-profit rescue & train as well as a training facility. 10/10 would do this again, but I don't need to because the training classes gave me the skills to do it myself. Before doing this, I was at my **** end and ready to re-home him from the stress.

I don't know why I am even bothering with a review. She will argue all claims I make as she does with all other negative reviews. I was promised 6 classes and every single one has been cancelled by her since July. It is now 2 weeks into September. I have not been able to attend a single one of them. My dogs behavior have not changed one bit. She talked about the importance of follow up classes to ensure behavioral changes. How does that even work if I cannot attend the classes? This weeks excuse was being bummed out about poor weather... She does classes both inside and outside depending on weather. All it takes is a few people canceling group class and she gives up. So what if only a few people show up? We paid for the service... She was paid weather people show up or not! I have no resources to continue with my dogs training and she has $3000 I have given her. If she wants me to go off just the tips I was given by her to get my dogs fully trained, I might has well done a ****** search instead of paying someone to tell me what to do
