You get what you pay for. In our remodel nearly every aspect of the work looked great- for the first six months. Later floor putty came out, countertops cracked, plumbing issues arose, and other shoddy workmanship details became apparent. During the work, the custom tile we selected was being put on haphazardly by the workers. When pointed out they said that this tile just has those issues. They werent using spacers at all. So I told the contractor that I would take it over. I was easily able to install the tile with uniform grout lines no problem. The workers were just being lazy.
