    With new construction there are always issues due to the amount of detail involved in building a new home. This is understandable. We've had new construction homes in the past and this has been the case in all of them. The key for us has been how bad the issues are and how responsive they are at fixing them. Unfortunately, with Diamond Rock Builders the issues are severe, and their response is terrible. Diamond Rock built ***************** and **************** next door. As we've gotten to know our friends in *****************, all we've heard are horror stories. Examples of ours are: ** not working properly from move in last summer (couldn't sleep upstairs because it was too hot and wouldn't cool down) - took over 3 months of back and forth with constant babysitting for them to get it working properly. This summer, having similar issues with ** plus awful noises when running and shutting off the *** It has taken them over 6 weeks to come look at it. They still have not fixed it entirely even after committing they would, and even though it's still under 1 year builders warranty, so no skin off their nose. Another major issue was they did not install ANY insulation in the attic. None at all. When dealing with the ** and huge bills for the ** being on with upstairs not working, they did not notice they neglected to install insulation when in the attic fixing the *** There have been other crazy things as well, but too much to go into. They are also not honest. Please beware. We do not want others to have to experience the same things we have.
