      We have been under contract for a townhome being built for nearly 22 months. They have given us numerous different move in dates and haven’t followed through on a single one. Even the most recent completion date in our contract was back in March. We have lost mortgage rates because they haven’t followed through on their dates and will be paying much more over the life of the loan than we would have if we would have moved in august of 2021 like they promised. They have continued constructing and selling other townhomes in the same development during the entire period that we have been under contract, while stating that ours has been delayed due to material shortages. It has been frustrating to not be a priority while we see other people buying and moving in their homes before ours even makes any progress. This has put a large amount of stress on us as a family, as we moved in with my parents thinking we were only going to be here a week only to find out that progress has halted on our place. My wife is pregnant and expecting our third child in just a few weeks. It has shocked us how much it seems that they don’t care to have inflicted hardship on our little family. It feels like we are entirely at their mercy and don’t have anything protecting us as a consumer. We paid a $2,000 deposit back in January of 2021.
