    For 11 consecutive months, my credit card was charged $28.95 that I did not authorize nor was there a service provided. From May 2024 to March 2025, the total of unauthorized charges was $318.45. This practice meets the criteria for a "dark pattern" scam.

    On 25 March 2025, I submitted a challenge to these charges with MasterCard (case number ************). I seek restitution of $318.45, along with a posting by the BBB that this business is perpetuating a dark pattern scam. From an internet search, I found that Property Reports USA has run this scam on others.

    I read the advertisement that said $1.00 for a single-use. However, I was charged $28.95 for a subscription I did not request. The $1:00 was charged on 2/14/2024. Thereafter $28.95.

    I requested a report of my property on May 10 of this year and was charged $9.95. A few days later, I received several pages detailing information about my home. I was pleased and satisfied. On June 10, I was again charged that amount until July 9. I was charged a third time. I called and complained and was charged four more times twice until July 15 and twice on July 16. I have also reported this to my credit card company. I shouldve only been charged one time.

    I would like to lodge a complaint against CRIMEHISTORYUSA.COM. This company is operating an absolute scam. They tell you that you can order a criminal report on a person for $1. But then they actually charge you $28.95. As if that wasnt bad enough, they dont actually give you a product! I ordered a criminal report from them, but when I got the report, there was absolutely no information on it -- not only no criminal report, but not even a phone number, email, or address.When I tried disputing the charge with my credit card company, on the basis that this company charged much more than their advertised price, and that they delivered NO product, crimehistoryusa.com submitted some paperwork to my credit card company, such that it was able to convince my credit card companys computer algorithm to decide to give them the $28.95--AT MY EXPENSE!Most criminal record companies are honorable. If they dont have a report on a particular person, they will tell you that they have no report on that person. With THIS company, however, you can plug in any series of random letters, such as sdkfja zefellj for persons name, and they will still tell you that you can get a report on this person. But when the report comes, it contains zero information, as such a person doesnt actually exist. Please put this company out of business before they scam millions more Americans. (My particular incident happened on 11/19/23).
