    I engaged with this firm for accounting/CPA, tax filing and not once met or communicated with a CPA for these purposes despite multiple requests thus did not provide services I paid for. At the end of 2022 they doubled their rates and refused to file my 2022 return despite having paid a full year.

    In Nov I spoke with the CEO, Erik W*******, with my complaints. Erik insisted we communicate via phone rather email and offered a refund but never follow up or returned my emails. Instead he sent a disengagement letter to me in an email along with 100+ other clients cc'd on the email, a clear breach of privacy laws. I was then charged for two MORE quarters of services after HE disengaged.

    I again emailed Erik stating I wanted a full refund for services not provided totaling $8300. I've since spent thousands on a new CPA to file 2022 and have other costs associated with their incompetence for which I am not seeking compensation. When he refused I attempted to settle the matter for $6800 which was the total spent for minus the high end of the going rate for a small business tax return ($2000). This seems like a reasonable compromise esp considering I did not have a CPA & they refused to file my 2022 taxes despite me paying for their services all of 2022.

    Erik continued to refuse the refund and then quickly proceeded to threaten and belittle me.
    Quote from Erik's email "I have forwarded the emails from those two individuals and I will send yours to my attorney as well. He has a solid plan of action, which unfortunately involves flooding your attorneys with paperwork for years and ending with you not getting anything."

    There's dozen's of clients on that emails string with the same complaints. I sought legal counsel (additional cost) and I wish this matter to be resolved outside of court but, more importantly I hope to prevent this business from stealing from others.

    I have heard nothing from your side in months and received an email from him the day before yesterday which I responded to yesterday.  Responding to an email the next day seems reasonable.  I informed your attorney I would like to settle this matter through the BBB and if we can't come to a resolution that way we will consider next steps. Since you threatened to "flood your attorneys with paperwork for years and ending with you not getting anything" the BBB seems like a better option for me than to go the legal route at this time.  I look forward to a full refund so we can resolve this matter and move on.

    I think the attorneys had been waiting for you or your attorney to get back to them as you mentioned that they would be hearing from your attorney. The comment about paperwork from our attorney was just in response to you mentioning that you planned on filing a class action lawsuit against our company. Our attorney just advised us that it wouldn't go very far in court because of the facts and circumstances and that it would take a lot of time and attorneys fees on both sides. In regards to your personal issue, my attorney would be happy to work with your attorney to resolve the matter. They have recommended going down that route to avoid any future issues. I think they even gave you on offer on a refund. If not, let me or them know. 

    If you could work with them, that would be great and I think we could get something figured out.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I have not retained an attorney specifically for this issue but have consulted with my legal advisor and wish to resolve the issue through the BBB due to the threats dragging this out and making it intentionally overly complicated as quoted verbatim and mentioned in my previous response.  It is more economical on both sides to resolve the matter through the BBB.  A class action law suit was mentioned by other clients and I am not pursuing any such matter on my end when this could be easily settled through the BBB or small claims court.  I have not received any offers for a refund from any attorney.  Let's resolve this and move on.  A refund seems like the logical next step and I see no need to utilize attorneys for a matter that can be settled here.

    We are willing to work with you on a refund. We can't refund you the amount you are requesting as some of that goes back quite far. The $3,800 is from 2021 when you started working with us, which was our initial onboarding fee. If you had been unhappy with our services associated with that charge, you had some time to let us know. We also consulted with you and filed your taxes during the year 2022. We would need to charge for at least $2,000 for that work done. Again, I would have hoped that you would have let us know earlier for this work done during 2022. We would be happy to refund the remaining $2,500.

    Sounds like we are starting to get somewhere but let's clarify a few things. 

    1.  Regarding the onboarding fee, I can accept eating that cost for 2021. $3800 should be more than enough to cover the 2021 taxes you filed despite me not having met with a CPA.

    2.  For 2022, I paid for a full year of services but you did not file my taxes. 

    3.  In regards to my concerns over not meeting with a CPA and having very slow response times I did bring this up in a call with your support staff.  When the matter was not addressed I eventually brought these concerns to your attention.  Perhaps I gave it the benefit of the doubt for too long and should have given feedback sooner.  I see that now.  But, regardless, the whole point of paying for a CPA is to have my taxes completed in a timely manner and support in doing so. Even for 2021 I was forced to file an extension and given no updates on the status of my return unless I sent multiple emails to your support staff before getting a response.  I'm happy to provide those emails for you as well. Regardless of my concerns, at the end of the day my taxes where not completed and I had to pay another CPA to complete my 2022 taxes.  I'll be eating these costs on my end as well.

    Lets meet in the middle.  I would accept a refund for services paid for but not received for 2022 in addition to a refund for the times you ran my card without my permission.  $750/quarter * 4 = $3000 plus  $750 * 2 = $1500.  Total refund amount $4500

    I have no desire to further negotiate the matter so I hope you can accept this resolution and we can be done with this incident.

    Yes, if you remove your review, we can agree to your refund. We can process that as soon as that is taken off and we would also like you to sign an agreement that our attorney has put together. It basically says that you are satisfied with our arrangement and we have made you whole. Also, that you will not attempt to leave negative reviews about our company or share with any of our clients this arrangement that we have made. You can review it for sure though and ask any questions that you have.

    This company tells you they can save you money on your taxes, that they can plan better than any other company, and they are worth every dollar (expensive)!!! Not only were we lied to about their knowledge and expertise, they havent even finished our taxes and we have been waiting for 8 weeks. You still have to collect all of the information, prepare everything, but then you wait 2 months for nothing to be done. Avoid this terrible company at all cost, you would be better off using anything else.

    I have spoken with the customers and we were able to resolve this complaint by refunding them their money in full. They will use another provider to file their taxes.
