We hired Big Boy Movers -***** office through HireaHelper to pack up our moving trailer for a move from ***** to ** in November 2024. The 3 men showed up a bit early on the morning of the 22nd and were shown the furniture, crates and other personal items to be packed in the 28 trailer. We had to move a refrigerator out to the trailer and one from the garage back in, and as part of the prep for this move, I had purchased 45 heavy duty moving blankets, wrapping tape and tape guns. In addition, we had packed up almost everything but 3 TVs which needed to be packed up as well. The movers took care of the moving of the fridges, but did not wrap the one going into the trailer and when asked about it my husband was told not to worry about it. The movers proceeded to continue to pack the trailer, and it became very apparent they were not very efficient in aligning the furniture or the possessions. We had used crates (27 gal and a few 45-gal ones) for most of our personal effects. Throughout the packing we kept asking why they were not wrapping the furniture with the blankets and taping them up, again told not to worry by the one mover, though one other one said, here we go again. Bottom line is by the time our trailer was packed they had gone over in time; things were CRAMMED into the trailer in an ineffective manner, and the attitude of one of the movers was less than pleasant. I understand them being tired, but the attitude was rediculous. I was trying to find the text/email to process the payment, had to step away for a moment and put my phone down. He picked up my phone got in my email and open it. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! I am a Privacy Officer, and this was a violation of my privacy. I made a comment and was completely ignored. Then we get to **********, and as the trailer was being unloaded, we began to see the damage done by the ************** The fact that there is this much damage and my furniture is less than a year old is UNACCEPTABLE.

      Business Response

      Date: 02/10/2025

We never serviced this customer's home. We are located in ****, ** and cover the greater **** area but don't cover *****. There is a separate company in ***** that I believe she is referring to. We would like  this claim closed out as it doesn't pertain to our business. The complaint would need to run through the *************. Thank you.
