After four years with vivint, I decided to try other options for covid brought a whole new set of obstacles. Money is tight and so I decided to cancel my service. I appreciate vivint for giving me options to resolve my issues and try to keep me as a customer. But after I said no to all their options they said I still owe "a monitor service fee." For another year I was under contract. 5 years under contract when you signed with vivint. Never image I will be signing a contract for a home security service. They said they have my signature and yes, I believe it. But I am not making this up when I said I was never told this otherwise I would have never agree to it. But I think it's bad business and I don't want any other customer to go through what I'm going thru. Please help me! I know it's my fault for signing.

We have already filed a complaint previously with Vivint to remove our home from their directory. We have been harassed, ignored, and been absolutely disgusted by their door to door salesman. After our last interaction where the salesman almost forced himself into our home to take a look around for a quote. We filed the complaint and was told we would be removed from the list moving forward. Yesterday once again we had a salesman (better than the past handful at listening) try again to sell us home security we dont need! We have placed a no soliciting sign at the door and once again my wife during work has had to take time out of her day, hold back dogs, and have a salesman ignore her when she says no thank you. We usually try to stay polite but after the past 2 vivint salesman she has lost trust and has worried about her safety while Im at work when anyone comes to the door. This is bordering harassment and if this is not resolved we will find a resolution one way or another to stop this in the future.

I have three separate instances to complain about but I will begin with the most important: 1. I am attempting to cancel this service. The panel has not been working and I called to see how to fix it and the upgrade would have been over $1000. I called back to cancel the service and any upgrades on ****. They told me they could not cancel it, that i had to email them after waiting on hold and no one was available to do so and a supervisor would call me in 1 hour. I never received a call. I have since emailed them 3 times and chatted twice with no resolution or response. I am happy to have them pick up all equipment and I do not want any further charges. 2. While we renovated our house from april 2021 to october 2021, we asked them to pause the service and they charged us $50 every month anyway. I tried to call about this as well and received similar customer service. 3. in April 2021 - We had two installations scheduled and they were not able to complete any of the work, and I was still charged.

August 15, 2022 was the date of service. A salesman (*******/********) came to ask about installing a security equipment with doorbell camera. While talking I ask what about the one that I have and do I need to contact that them, *******/********, said no he would do that. I make a 1-month service of $34.99 On Aug 18 I called to cancelled because the package was too costly, I was offered a lower package. On Aug 21 I got a notice from my other security (Brinks), so I called to ask if they had received a call about my security change, they said no, and that my contract on file doesn't expire for another two years. I call Vivint on the Aug.23, to ask them why they hadn't called, and that I couldn't keep using their service, and to come and pick it up. I talk to the finance company who was supposed to finance it and they ok it and transfer me back to Vivint.Vivint has a man coming out on the 23 of Aug to remove the parts that I had exchange in a lower price, not knowing at that time that I was still with Brink, they had not sent me a new contract about the changes, so I called to tell them the person who is coming, can take it all back and there reply was that I had to pay them to get out of a contract plus for the equipment, which I haven't received any, since they make the change and cost.

We are having an issue with the business as they promised us a 2 week trial of their service and will not cancel it with only a few days of service. We recently moved into this home we purchased and the home had a vivint home security system. We decided to try their services and called sales on Aug 16 2022. Spoke to a sales rep who transferred the service under our name as new owners and promised us a 2 week trial over the phone. The service start date would show Aug 17th. We though no harm could come of this and proceeded. After 3 days we had many issues with the system being unresponsive, incorrectly setting temperatures in the house, and the main panel crashing on us. So we called into support Aug 23rd to cancel. They informed us they do not offer longer trials than 3 days, and would have to pull the call with the sales rep to validate which can take several weeks. I tried to call the contact number the sales rep provided me with and found that it routes to a google voice number that is not associated with Vivint. This alerted me to seeing i was scammed by this sales agent and the support department would be of no help. I have notated the manager and internal case info: Employee ID - ****** - Name: Hannah who opened a case to internal IT with Case ID - *********. These types of businesses apparently do not care about their customers, tricking them then preventing them from canceling service. How can i trust someone with my home's security when they clearly have lied to me. I need this issue resolved as I am not willing to pay a years of service for a system that does not work properly, a support department that is unable to assist, and a sales rep that has lied to us about the trial duration just to meet his quota. I am looking for help from proper authorities that can assist in this matter hence why I reached out. I can not be the only one who has had such issues with Vivint.

hi we are making this complaint because vivint home security is refusing to suspend our services unless we pay the full amount even after we told them we can't afford to have the service anymore this started back when the bill was 46$ we made arrangements to pay the 46 when we paid it another bill came out and they said they wouldn't do anything till that **** was paid so in short we refused to pay any new bills that came out i think we are over 180$ now and vivint home security is being very unreasonable to us over the issue and the bill is still accruing

I just recent purchased my first home in March 2021, not even month in my home vivint saleperson was at my home. Vivint basicly harrassed me for months (8months), sitting outside my home in their cars for 20 plus minutes until finanlly getting out and approaching me or a family member. After 8 months an salesman by the name of **** ************ came in and asked what can we do to get you to sign on, as all the other salesman had before, one salesman even said that he was a general sales manager that was sent out specifically for me to get me to sign a deal with Vivint offered all these deals and I turn him down as well. However I just finally said Okay ill give it a shot base off **** saying I could cancel at anytime if i wasn't happy or no longer wanted the service. **** advise that Vivint would send someone to collect the equipment and put my home back out they found it. Today I called vivint spoke with ********* who advise couldnt cancel unless I paid for equipment in hold today. which is ********. I explained was never told that I was never explained that this is an actual BANK LOAN with citizens bank. I explained I would have never signed up for the services if I knew I couldnt cancel at anytime and would be stuck in a contract for services no longer wanted or needed. I also spoke with ******************* who express no remorse of the deceptive sales pratices and offer or other option but to pay loan in full today. I asked **** for his manager contact info declined told me that his manager doesn't take phone calls. I refused to believe that and asked for his name he gave me a *************************** and that was at. **** also refuse to close my account, said i would have to pay in order to have it closed.

I moved locations in April 2022. I originally set up a transfer to my new location, but after it was set up, both the technician and the moves department at Vivint told me my system could not be transferred & it would just be canceled. May 2022 I noticed I was charged again for the service. I called in, was told to please send in a cancelation form and it would be handled. I did this. June 2022 comes and I was charged yet again. I called and was told the same thing and that I would definitely be issued a refund. July and August both the same thing. I was told they had no records of my cancelations - but they could see that I did not have service & asked me to send in the form again. I did this but was still charged, yet again. I am constantly following protocol month to month only to be charged. Also, my name on the account is showing as "********" I have tried for 3 years to get that changed with the SAME results. It's not changed. I am asked to submit paperwork constantly, which I do, but there's never any records of that month to month. I am paying for a service now that I clearly do not have or use since April. The service location is showing as a house that I do not own any longer & I believe the new occupant of the house set up service herself. Vivint is basically getting double the money for the same location.

I called to cancel my service with Vivint. I was told that I needed to explain why I wanted to cancel my service and the there where forms that I had to sign. They would review the forms and let me know if I would be able to cancel the service. Just so you know I am not under contract with them. Two weeks later I got an email to reduce my monthly payment. That's not what I asked for. I sent another email to just cancel my service and it has been a month since my request and the service has not been canceled. I pray that you all would be able to help me. Thanks
