On 05/02/2022 I canceled my account and paid $1169.80 early cancellation fee. They have not canceled my account. Ive been calling at least 2 to 3 times a week and all they do is transfer me or have me call other numbers. Two weeks after I paid the cancellation fee they charged my bank account the monthly amount of $60.35. Finally they canceled the auto-pay to my bank but now I receive bills here at my new address. I dont know what else to do to get them to close my account.Business Response

On or about November of 2021, I signed up for their ADT security service, of which I was told that I will receive (2) touch screen pads installed in my house. The tech installed (1) touch screen pad (that has a reduced screen size) and about three weeks later one of their techs showed up at my house unannounced to install one non touch screen pad.Every time I contact them about my second touch screen pad, I'm told that a tech will come out and install the new pad, but after I take off work for the tech to come and install the pad, I'll get a call from the tech telling me that he must order the new pad and install it later when it is delivered. The last time I received a call from them was this past Wednesday June 15.I have already taken off work (3) different times to resolve this matter.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: The rep came out and installed (1) new pad that looked just like the one he was replacing except for the fact that it appears to fill the entire 5" screen. (The previous one had a 3.5" display inside of the 5" screen). Plus, he only installed one pad. My contract called for two pads. The tech stated that they had to order the other pad and it will come in a couple of weeks, (which is the same statement they have been telling me ever since I signed up with them almost a year ago).PLUS
Now the new pad STOPPED WORKING! I can punch in my code but it does not go off when I open the doors or windows, so now I have no monitoring protection on my house until another tech can come out and fix this new problem.
Resolution
I would like to receive my $99 dollars back and have the company cancel this contract (with out a negative report on my credit) and have them come and get their equipment (and return my old touch pad if possible) so that I can go with another security company... HELP!

After doing a diagnostics test on the system I do see that the panel is fully functional. It may be that the customer needs to alter his settings. He can call into tech support and they can walk him through his settings. ************. The 7 inch panel was installed and the secondary panel that the customer wants does need to be ordered. I am rejecting this response because: The technician called to try to walk me through fixing what they said was a door sensor not on line, but after I told him that the unit is not responding at all, and none of the sensors were working when I tried to set them off, he said the unit was not set up and scheduled a technician to come out and correct the problem. Im confused by their description of the panel as being (7) inches because when I measure the unit, it is 8 inches and the screen itself is actually 6 inches when fully displayed, and the previous unit measured the same 8 inches with the same 6 inch screen but the display itself on the screen was only 3.5 inches as if it was defective. Both units use the same size mounting bracket. The box the unit came in stated 7 inch also. I guess that is the average.I dont believe that they need to order the second panel because the previous technician who wanted me to sign a new contract and charge me over $200 for the two panels actually had the second panel with him and would have installed it if I would have paid the $200. I don't believe the company will install the second panel and do not care to spend any more time dealing with this company.
I respectfully request that the company cancel this contract and allow me to return their equipment for a refund of my $99 so that I can purchase a new system with a new company. I operate my non-profite corporation out of my home and I need to quickly act to install an operating security system so that my home and business can have some protection.

I am rejecting this response because how the screens are measured is irreverent since they both are the same size. What matters is the size of the display on the screen. My previous unit had a 3.5 in display on the 7 inch unit, where as this new unit that is not working has a full screen displayed on the 7 in diagonally measured unit. The second pad has been on order ever since the original tech installed the first unit over 9 months ago, .i don't see where things are any different now, or two weeks from now. Not happening.

It looks like at first install we installed a keypad instead of a wireless touchscreen. This touchscreen is now ordered and has an ETA of 2 weeks. I reached out Oct/2021 to have the system installed in my home and business. The problem started with installation, at my business, the tech broke part of my ceiling trying to install the camera, also broke my emergency light as well as multiple wholes and wires showing. When I complained he said there was nothing he could do about it because it was a complete accident. At my house, everything was poorly installed, devices started falling off the first day of installation, also put wires showing and never asked it it was ok. When I called to complain, I was told for the first time that the installation was done by a third party. That was the first time I heard that, I never knew installation wasnt done by then. At my house, there were supposed to have motion detectors on my windows in case someone tried to open it. It was never installed.Long story short. Alarm wont work, battery is constantly out, the only thing that adt has done for me, is a loud noise when the door opens it. I reached out to them a few times, they sent a tech out 2 times, poor installation once again. When I asked if I could cancel the contract, they asked for 75% of remaining contract. ADT is a nightmare. I wont pay for something I am not using. Thinking about taking to small claims court.Business Response

The customer never made mention since the original installation in October of 2021 about any damage to the location. At this point Safe Streets cannot be held liable due to the amount of time that has passed. There is no way to provide documented evidence that any damage that occurred at the location was done so by a Safe Streets Technician.
The customer has also made zero attempts to speak with Safe Streets since the installation occurred, 11 months ago.
The customer must either accept service appointments from ADT Corporate or pay their Balance of Contract.
Safe Streets will not be covering any alleged damages.

I purchased alarm equipment on 07/18/22 Order ID **********. According to the contract I have 3 days to cancel the transaction with no penalty or obligation. The contract stated I have until midnight on 07/21/22 to cancel. I called the number to cancel on 07/21/22 in the afternoon, received a case #********, and was told someone would call to pickup the equipment. It's been 2 weeks and no one has called. I called on Monday, 08/01/22, and spoke to someone at SafeStreets who said they where not showing were I cancelled it and they would speak to a manager and get back to me. I never heard back so I called again on 08/04/22 and spoke to ***** at SafeStreets who said that she can see where I canceled with in the 3 days however a manager has to approve it first and that once a manager approves it, they will schedule a time to come pick up the equipment. In the meantime, ADT will not refund my charge for monitoring because they have to wait for Safe Streets to process the cancellation. Also, the credit company used for financing will not show a zero balance due until Safe Streets processes the cancellation. It should not take 14 days to process a contract cancellation. The contract also states that after 20 days, if I have made the equipment available and it's not picked up, that I may retain or dispose of the equipment with no further obligation. It's been 14 days. I would think SafeStreets would like their $4,000 worth of equipment.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However I would like to note that I called 2 times to schedule the removal and both times the agents told me I couldn't because the cancellation had not been processed. It took me filing a complaint to get a resolution. When I called the number provided today, the agent told me that someone had tried to call me last night to schedule the removal and my phone does not show where anyone called.I have the removal scheduled for Wednesday, August 10th and expect the full refund with 24 hours of that date.

The company represents ADT. I originally opened the account in February, 2022, but requested to transfer the account into my sister's name. Safe Street/ADT called me and my sister, *************************** on 3way call and got her payment info and other info and stated they transferred the account. Yet, they have called me over 7 times for a past due **** for an account that is her name. They refuse to switch the name to Zenobias and are harassing me for payment, even though ******* lives in the home and we were assured they transferred the account. I am feeling harrassed at this point. All of Zenobias payment info is on file, and address, yet, I'm being contacted!!Business Response

Hello, I signed up with SafeStreets ADT for installation of service. They said they were charging my credit card $652, but charged $752 and I have not been given a receipt with the explanation of charges. I tried to contact them on their website multiple times, but the website continues to give me an error message. I would not have purchased their products had I known their true price. Honestly, I wouldn't have chosen them as my security provider had I known before my installation that the price for an additional panel and fire alarm was so expensive. I feel like they are a scam and do a bait and switch upon installation. But at this point, I just want the receipt and difference of quoted price and charged price refunded to my card.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I did purchase additional equipment of $652 and was advised by the installer that my card was going to be charged $652. My card was charged for $752. That amount was never quoted. The installer read from his tablet the amounts and items, said he was running my card for $652, I handed him the card and he entered it into his tablet and talked to someone on the phone who finished the process. I was very surprised to have an additional $100 on top of what I had agreed to pay. My $99 start up charge was already paid weeks before the installation date. The resolution I am seeking is a refund of the additional $100 that was charged to me and was not authorized.

I do not see that the customer was charged prior to the installation date. I do see that the customer had agreed to the $99 activation fee prior to the installation however the charge was placed on the account on the day of installation. The sales peoples pressured me to get ADT alarm system, saying it free with discount on your phone and cable TV, When I looked at the contract, I am paying $63.99 a month for 24 months. I never wanted this. I sent them a cancellation letter on 6/27/2022 within 3 business days to cancel. They continue to charge me this amount on my credit card every month. Please see attached letter with details. in March of this year I was defrauded into signing an ADT contract by an individual that came to my home unsolicited and told me that he represented ATT and ADT and was able to offer me a 2 year discount on my ATT bill if I signed up for ADT due to a combined company promotion. After making 2 monthly payments to ADT waiting for the discount to occur, the ATT discount was never received; I contacted my ATT customer service and multiple representatives informed me that ATT has no such relationship with ADT. since then, I contacted my credit card company to inform them of the fraud and they ruled in my favor and reimbursed me for the 2 months cost. I disconnected all the equipment and sent back to Safe Streets USA who installed the system at my house because ADT would not discuss the issue with me as they contract with Safe Streets USA to install the equipment. I continue to receive monthly bills from ATT and the charges continue to accumulate with a new threat of a collection agency if I don't pay. I have spoke to multiple account representative at Safe Streets who have all told me that they are contracted with "Alpha Marketing Strategies" for this promotional offer and they have no authority over the contract. The individuals at Alpha lied to me throughout this whole process even after I notified them of the fraud and requested cancellation of the contract. Numerous account representatives at Safe Streets told me that many people have been defrauded in this same way and this is a common problem. I receive daily robo calls from ADT Security Services demanding payment, along with frequent emails and phone calls from Safe Streets demanding payment for a system I do not have. I want this contract cancelled with no charges owed from me and an apology from ADT and Safe Streets for the continuing harassment and for it to stop immediately.Business Response

Additionally, the customer completed a signed Congratulations Sheet outlining the clear differences between ADT and AT&T and that Safe Streets has absolutely nothing to do with the AT&T promotions. These terms were again reiterated in a recorded phone call with the customer called the Welcome Call.
Our records indicate the Sales Team has been trying to reach the complainant regarding the AT&T promotion since March 21st, when they left multiple messages about the complainant not providing the correct AT&T account information in order to receive that promotional rate.
If the customer wants to receive that promotion they must return the numerous calls and voicemails left for them by calling ###-###-####.

I am rejecting this response because:The ADT / Safe Streets written contract was never fulfilled. I never received the contracted for reduction in my ATT bill that is committed to in the written contact. ADT / Safe Streets breached the contract by not fulfilling their obligations. My credit card company ruled in my favor and reimbursed me for the costs I had incurred. I am a victim of a scam and was defrauded by ADT/ Safe Streets. Therefore, this contract is null and void and needs to be cancelled immediately with no charges due. I will not pay for what is not owed. If this company had any concern for its reputation, they would ashamed of the way they mishandled this promotion. This promotion presented by ADT / Safe Streets is clearly a scam.
