    On Veterans Day, I placed an order through tuttletwins.com I ordered 2 different sets of books. Not only did it take several weeks for me to receive my order, but when I opened the package, the books appeared to be damaged or used. The box they were shipped in did not appear damaged. However the set of paper back books were frayed, and appeared to have been used/read. The spine was crinkled of a couple of the books. 7 books out of 17 books appeared this way. I reached out to the company which assured me the books had never been used. I sent several pictures of the damage to the books. I requested a some money back. They offered me $4. I told them no that was not acceptable, but since they wanted to blame everything on the shipping they could just refund me the cost of shipping which I believe was around $11. They refused. They then wanted me to send the books back and ship new books. I said no. That is a waste of time money and *********** parties. And would cost them way more to do that than to just refund me the shipping. I don't want to wait another month for them to figure out how to ship another set, and risk that set being damaged as well. I Informed them I would be filing a complaint with BBB and they told me I was being silly, and nothing would be done. All I want is the cost of shipping refunded back to me.

    The customer e-mailed in about 5 damaged books. She sent three pictures only showing two books slightly damaged, but I took her word for it that the other three were damaged as well. I offered replacement books and she said she'd rather have a partial refund. I refunded 20% of the cost of those 5 books (not the whole order.) She was not happy with this so I again offered to replace the damaged books...I would also send a pre-paid shipping label to send back the damaged books. So wouldn't be out any extra money at all. She didn't think this was satisfactory and I'm not sure why as it addressed all her concerns and she already had the refund. She was very demanding and demeaning in her communications. I have screen shots to prove this if necessary. I have since issued a FULL refund for her order and asked her to donate the books since she was so displeased with my service and our company. Side note.....she paid for 2-6 business day shipping and her order was delivered in 6 business days.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    This answer is false. She only refunded my full amount because she was wrong. I ordered 17 books. 7 of which were used and damaged. I sentnher over 10 pictures which she claims she never received, however I have confirmed sent receipts for every email. I was not demeaning. I was firm in what I was requesting. Offering $4 on almost a $90 order is insulting and a slap in the face. All I requested was $11. That was not unreasonable. All books were shipped together. They were not wrapped, packaged, or sent separately. Which is why I just requested my shipping fee back. I urge everyone to use extreme caution when ordering from this company. Find a good used book store to order from. Being as this company will just send you used/damaged books anyway. It's sad I was trying to support a local US business. However they will never get my business again. The only truthful statement of her response is that they did refund my full amount. With a very insulting message notifying me about it. This complaint was made 2 days before a refund was issued.
