    I started talking to Loni on December 27th about a stone retaining wall. On January 4th I paid 3941.12 for the stone and they were delivered that day. On January 11th I wanted to pay the rental company for the machine he needed to build the wall. He said he had already paid for it and wanted 1300.00 from me so I wrote him a check. He didn’t come and work on it. On the 22nd he promised to come work on it the next day, didn’t come. I texted him on January 29th and said we will have good weather for 4 days, he said “We will get it done.” He never came. February 4 he wanted me to request a blue stakes report, I did. Feb 12 th promised to come on Wednesday 13th.
    Wednesday 13th, he said the machine is broken down, we will be there shortly. They didn’t come. On the 14th I texted saying that they were starting to dig the foundation next door. Friday the 15th no one. I texted him saying no one was here, He said they should be there. Finally one guy came, an older man, I took him out a drink come to find out he was Loni’s dad. I asked if he was going to have any help he said no. I could tell he was having a rough time. He was picking up heavy rocks, when he walked up the hill he could hardly breathe, he said he would be back tomorrow. He came back and when he said he was finished asked me for a check for 100.00, which I gave him. When my son came later to look at what they had done, he was very angry, he said it looked a mess, he had hit the house, chipped the cement in two places, scratched the railing and cracked the fence. Come to find out Loni was out of town and left his poor old Dad to do the job without any help. When he got back he wanted me to pay him 1500.00. I said no don’t come back, I want my money back. I had to hire someone else. They had to take the whole thing apart, level and compact it, and add gravel. They did a great job. I have texted Loni 5 times asking for my money back, he won’t respond.
