I called EWC on July 23rd at 1:33pm to ask why my card was charged on the incorrect day seeing as I was told the dates we discussed would work. I was told by Melissa over the phone that there was insufficient funds when they tried to charge the payment on the 15th—they tried to run it again today the 23rd and it went through. Unfortunately this is not true. We had the funds in the card on the 15th, that is why I scheduled with the receptionist a month ago to have the money come out on that specific day. Additionally, we did NOT have the money on the 23rd and the card did go through and now we are in the negative. Was there a system failure? Did Melissa lie? Did the center forget to run the card on the 15th and remembered the following week?
My husband took over the call and the woman who said her name was Melissa told him the same story about trying to run the card. My husband asked to speak with a a manager, she told him a manager would get back to him because they only call out. He called back at 1:55 and spoke to Emily. He called back at 3:11 and spoke with Abbie. Called back at 4:21 and got hung up on. And finally called back again and spoke with Melissa once more. We scheduled payments to come out on their respective days because there would be money set aside for it. If there was a problem running the card on the 15th we never received a call or notification about it. The card was ran on an unauthorized day— EWC took payment without permission on a day that there was not sufficient funds the 23rd and the card still went through. At minimum, there should be a refund issued for the $152 and with being lied to, hung up on and taking a payment without permission the entirety wax pass should be free. We spoke with several reps yesterday Emily said I would receive a call before end of day yesterday that didn’t happen. We were hung up on at 4:21. In an email response we received today, we were told a voicemail was left. We didn’t receive a voicemail today either.
