      Im resorting to a BBB review since I cant get a callback from a manager despite being told things were escalated. This started with a great sales pitch from ****** and I felt comfortable going with a bigger company for a new roof. I even commented how much I appreciated the sales guys approach and professionalism. But as soon as I signed the agreement, this turned into a mess. I signed an agreement with RoofTek, but then found out they subcontracted the work out to some dude and his crew. It was never disclosed to me or agreed upon that the roof would be installed by someone other than RoofTek. Maybe thats how their business works, but its definitely a bait and switch move on the sales guys part. First, there were issues with me having to follow up with them on when things were happening (I finally got a message from the project manager the night before the job took place), then an issue with the dumpster (they blocked me in my driveway) and then they couldnt bother to clean up after themselves - I had to pick up stray nails and trash in my backyard at 10 oclock at night so my dogs could go outside. Its all just careless, unprofessional and not at all what I was sold on. I was also having gutters installed but the project manager didnt know when. He then confirmed a day, but it was wrong and the crew just showed up to my surprise. It seems like they dont know how to schedule things or communicate to the homeowner, or they just dont care. I was then supposed to have a quality control manager come out to inspect the work once it was finished. To my surprise again, the ** manager was just the project manager. He apparently did the inspection when I wasnt available (************** have texts showing when I was available and you just ignored that), and didnt bother to communicate anything to me about it. I would like a call from a manager and the itemized invoice I have requested a few times. This is not that difficult. Please, follow up.

      Zero rating if I could. Read the other bad reviews on yelp and there's a common theme: unfinished roof, roof leaking and interior damage, horrible workmanship, and deplorable customer experience starting immediately after you pay and sign the contract - they're great and responsive on the front end but after they get your money it's downhill to **** from there. They went 7 months without responding to our unfinished roof, 2 months without response to an active leak. When we refused to submit our final payment because of the interior damage and unfinished roof and after making over 20 attempts to contact them but no response, their upper management **** Harold ******* emailed at 10pm unleashing their lawyer and directing his team to file liens...no attempts to first try to work it out with their customer or address the issue. They must buy their Google reviews but don't let the 1.5k five stars fool you. Another well known roofing company that came out to fix their damage (at our expense) told me Rooftek is gaining a bad reputation with their shoddy work because they are trying to boost volume sales so they can be sold to private equity - but they can't keep up with the QUALITY or quantity of sales so they send out unqualified roofers and then slam you with the damages when your new 20k roof is leaking. They are in active litigation with several of their reviewers on yelp...there are probably many more. Run run run from this franchise, especially this salt lake one owned by Jake. Worst vendor ever. Reporting to every site I can to try to prevent this happening to others.

      I had RoofTek come out to my home to give me a bid on a new roof. While in the process of examining the roof they broke one of the elbow joints of my gutter and also forgot to mention this to **** noticed it the next day and asked if they would please come back and repair my gutter. They told me they would try and seal the gutter the best they could but would not fix what they had broken. I've had multiple conversations with them to no avail.You'd think they would take care of any issue they caused regardless of whether or not they've earned your business. They just didn't seem to care to resolve the issue. Extremely disappointed in them.

      Rooftek replaced our roof after an insurance claim. Rushed the job to beat a storm. Had to come back and fix multiple things that were obviously rushed. Later other flaws showed under the shingles. Their tech agreed that there were issues with the installation. Could not get anyone to call us back to schedule the warranty work. It's been 9 months and no one will call or contact us. Terrible service and follow up.

      Rooftek replaced my roof due to storm damage. They appeared to be very trustworthy and honorable, however now approximately 2.5 years later part of my facia blew off in another wind storm. I have called Rooftek at least 10 times. Each time they sound willing to help. They even promised to come out the next day. It has been almost 2 months since my first call. Still no one has come out to fix a relatively simple fix. When I call I still get a sympathetic voice with promises. They have yet to fulfill their obligation under the warranty. If they will not honor their warranty, they are not worth having them work on your roof. Be wary of this company. Let this be a warning to everyone looking for an honest company who will fulfill their obligations. This company will not!!Services: Gutter installation, Roof installation, Roof repair
