      I had a flood crisis with a water heater that went bad and leaked all over my lower level of my house. . I called Beehive Plumbing to come help me with a replacement, including a $150 after hours fee. I’m not disputing the after hours fee, but I have since found out that the water heater they installed can be purchased for $1900 (retail) and they charged me $7700 for everything installed. It took about 5 or so hours. I have since heard from a General Contractor that this should have been in the $4500 to $5500 range. I believe they took advantage of my being in a crisis with the flood, and inflated the cost.

We also installed a "Big Blue Filter" for your home and a 3/4 PRV. Plus the after hours charge. You'll notice adding up each of those costs leads to more than the ending job total. This is because we did provide you a very large discount of $914.74. However it is of upmost importance to us that we create a good experience for each and every one of our clients. We would love to work together on this further to rectify the situation.

      I am rejecting this response because: 

      The "Big Blue Filter" and 3/4" PRV Pressure relief valve were not add ons that I asked for, I was told that they were absolutely necessary.  Furthermore, their math does not add up. Beehive Plumbing is telling me that these two items add up to $1455.74.  Please see the attachments.  I found a "Big Blue Filter" From multiple sources retailing in a range from $206 to $226. The PRV Pressure Valve is in the $139 range retail.  They say these add up to more than the ending job total which is false.  They also reference a "book price" as if there is a kelly blue book version of plumbing costs.  The Navien on demand hot water heater retails for about $1500 to $1900.  Hence, the "discounts" they are referencing is also false.  If you add up what they charged for labor they are in the $500 to $560/hour range. 2 people for 5 hours of work for $5600 in labor.  They have refused to share what their hourly labor costs are.  I was and am still happy to pay the $150 after hours charge. I want them to make a profit, but I don't think paying over $500/hour for a person in a flood crisis is a fair deal. They have said they want to rectify this, I'd like to know what their Material costs and labor costs are so we can reach a fair settlement for rectification.

      The product that was installed is a luxury premium product. Which typically is going to be more expensive than your average water heater. We can understand the initial sticker shock; I think a lot of us are experiencing it now days. The technicians sent out were two of our top technicians who provide top notch service. There is quite a bit more involved than just the hourly for those two technicians, please keep in mind we have to cover pay for support staff. The book price refers to our standard price for those services we performed. Through many hours of market and economic research these prices are decided. We do have your signature of authorization of work approving the estimate and cost for the truly exceptional quality of work we're happy to provide for a luxury product that is warrantied longer than any regular tank style water heater. We appreciate your business and hope for the chance to work together in the future.

      I contacted them for an estimate to figure out the leak under my sink. They determined it was the copper pipes going down to my crawl space even though they never saw the leak. I payed $970 just to discover later that night that it was in fact just a plastic water line going to my refrigerator, that couldn't have been more than a $200 repair. They are refusing to give me more than $200 off the original bill.

      To whom it may concern,

      At the time of the appointment our service professional determined the copper water lines and stops needed to be replaced as they were currently leaking. The water supply line to the fridge was also leaking and needed to be repaired. Due to the amount of water damage present at the time of diagnosis it was determined the fridge line leak alone could not be responsible for the severity of the damage as shown in the attached photos. We have processed a 20% refund ($200) after due diligence was conducted to ensure our diagnosis integral. This partial refund was offered simply out of a good faith gesture.

      On January 06,2023 we requested services from Beehive Plumbing Company to help us with a pipe replacement that was causing damages to our walls and belongings. After the technician looked at the problem, he quoted us for $650.
      The $650 was quoted for approxmatly 13ft of pipe replacement which would take 1 hour of work (according to the technician).
      The technician ended up only replacing a couple of feet and not what he had originally told us. It took him nearly 10 minutes to finish the job. When we asked him why he didn't do what he had originally said he'd do, he said “because there's a T and switching that would take much longer and complicate things further”.
      We were still charged $650 which was paid in cash. At the moment- because we were extremely stressed and dealing with quite a lot, we did not stop and think clearly that we were being overcharged.
      The next days we called the company every day multiple times to resolve this issue. After a few days a field manager (Colton) finally contacted us and asked for pictures and explanation. We provided him with both, but he never responded to the message and never picked up his phone. The company itself also stopped answering our phone calls. They know exactly what they did and that we were taken advantage of, but continuously fail to assist.
      This is our last hope to help us bring Justice to our case.
      We should not have been charged $650 for 10 minutes of work and 2 ft of pipe replacement when the original quote was for 13 ft of pipe replacement along with 1 hour of work, while the cost of doing such work by a skilled plumber is usually around $150.
      We initially would have been ok with partial refund if they would simply help the case, but at this point after spending hours of our time trying to reach someone for help and after all the inconveniences caused to us, we are requesting a full refund.
