I made an appointment months ago to have my cat spayed by this company and followed pre operative instructions for surgery which was to be completed on 4/19. Company called and said they couldnt perform the procedure due to their provider experiencing an emergency and I was to pick her up. They rescheduled her to today 4/24 but due to now my cat being in heat (was not in heat at first appointment) they wanted more money. I kindly requested they waive the extra charge since this reschedule was at no fault of my own. Staff was hostile and said I had no way of proving this and they wouldnt be pushed around. I found the hostility frightening and in conclusion told them I would agree to any extra costs and to drop the matter. They then said they would not perform the procedure on my cat and was no longer welcome to bring animals to them. Because I am now back to finding a new place, I request my deposit fee as no services were rendered and at no fault of my own was the appointment canceled on their part. The supervisor was angry and hostile and I felt unsafe to request my deposit back.

Thank you for bringing this complaint to our attention. There are several false claims in what this client has stated, including that we have already issued her a refund for her deposit as we will no longer offer her services. The additional charge for an in-heat cat is $10-$15 and is because their surgery takes longer.  When my Lead Technician tried to speak with her, she was very hostile. The feeling of being in an unsafe environment was mutual. Our Lead Technician did in fact offer to waive the nominal fee. At which point the client threw her hands up and yelled about what a hassle we were causing her. We never said we wouldn't be pushed around. However, we do not tolerate abuse of our staff. They do not deserve to get yelled at when all they care about is helping our clients pets.

I am rejecting this response because: I have witnesses who were in the lobby at the time who will corroborate that I did not actually throw my hands up. I walked away with another witness and said I didnt mean for it all to be a hassle, to which the technician whipped around and said did you just call me an asshole?! She was defensive and hostile and looking for a fight. I was refunded my deposit but this statement issued by the business is false and blatantly exaggerated. Sensitivity and customer skills training should be incorporated into their staff training. No accountability was taken for their actions and management did not ask about event details. Businesses should seek to find resolution with customers not punish them.

      Sincerely,
