BEWARE!! DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY IF YOU HAVE A DISASTER THAT REQUIRES REMEDIATION!! THIS COMPANY HAS UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES THAT SHOULD BE REPORTED TO THE **** LICENSE DIVISION! They responded to water damage in my home in July 2023. They brought out 1 drying mat and had us sign a contract that says the amount due them is 5% of the entire project or $500 whichever is greater. We ask for quotes to be provided numerous times which went ignored and never provided. After several weeks they advised us that they could not perform the remediation for the water damage. They then waited to see if an insurance claim was filed. 3 1/2 months later on 7 November Alpine hit us with a huge bill that was never agreed to because a quote was never provided and they could not perform the work! Multiple voicemail attempts to discuss this billing with management went ignored. When the billing estimator was questioned about the bill her response was "The pricing we use adheres to state regulations and is in accordance with the requirements of insurance providers". Interesting since our insurance company does not cover testing. That is something they will not pay for! However, the insurance company agreed to pay only for dryer mats. If 1 dryer mat (6days) for one small area and a test for asbestos/lead paint is $2,000 its no wonder our insurance rates are so high. I noticed on the BBB website the management of this company only seems to respond to your calls if you file complaints against them. If your a reputable ethical company management should be willing to resolve issues without clients having to file complaints with the BBB, **** ************************** and the **** *****************

To respond to Customer review #*** for *********************
********************** did not receive this job until August.  Another ****************** was on site first and was asked to stop work at which time Alpine was called. We did set drying mats that is considered specialty equipment. The drying mats did dry out the floor which saved the cost, time and labor to remove and replace the flooring. The 5% or $500 referred to is if Homeowner cancelled in the middle of work which didnt happened and doesnt apply to this job. Nor has Alpine ever charged the 5%/$500.
When Alpine showed up to the job the drywall was still wet and would need to be removed. Because of state law asbestos testing was done. The drywall did comeback positive for asbestos and would require abatement. An estimate was provided to the Homeowner. The Homeowner decided to handle it themselves. All of this was done in Aug 2023.
Alpine only billed for the work that was done. Setting the drying mats, monitoring and asbestos testing. The Adjuster informed Alpine that the estimate was approved and Homeowner was paid on this loss in Oct 2023. It wasnt until Dec 2023 that the Adjuster informed Alpine the insureds policy doesnt cover asbestos testing. All of this time we have been trying to get paid.
When someone calls our office an email is sent out saying a call came in and was transferred to a specific person. A log note is then entered into the job. There are only 3 times the ** called our office. None of the calls or emails asked to speak to any manager over the team they were working with.
Alpine will be reaching out to see if we can go over concerns and hopefully get this taken care of

I have spoke to ******************** this afternoon. Her complaint is about the amount billed. Talking with ******************** it sounds like she has had multiple companies in and out of this home. I know Alpine was asked to come out after they had asked one of these other companies not to come back. I went thru the estimate with *********************  ********************** approved everything on the estimate. ************************ policy for what ever reason did not cover the testing needed. The pricing used is from Xactimate which is the industry standard. I am wanting to work with ********************. I let her know Alpine was willing to cut the amount charged for testing in half. ******************** said she was going to talk to her Daughter and get back to me. Hopefully we can have this settled in the next day or so.
