      On 6/26/2023 I arrived at my OB ultrasound appointment to check on the baby I'm currently carrying. I arrived early, went through registration and sat with my husband in the waiting room at the women's center. Our Ultrasound technician named ******* came and got us about 10 minutes later. After trying to perform an abdominal ultrasound it was decided that it would be best to do a transvaginal one, since my gestational age was still early. At the ultrasound I received one week prior at the ************ Hospital, we saw a gestational sac as well as baby with a heartbeat. I would like to point out that at this point i have had 7 pregnancy losses, abd no living children so my anxiety going into this scan was extremly high. The tech was very aware of how many miscarriages I have had as she asked at the begining of my appointment. As I waited very anxiously and uncomfortably lying on a hard foam wedge while nauseous, I anxiously waited for her to show me the screen she silently stared at with a blank cold expression. After a very long time I asked if she could tell me if my baby had a heart beat. She replied "your doctor will have to tell you". I got dressed and we left. I left in tears, and waited to get the report. When the report was uploaded to my online portal I immediately read it. I was shocked and confused since the measurements were so drastically different from just one week prior and the report I dicated that I had suffered another loss, that baby no longer had a heartbeat, and that there was another abnormality in the ultrasound that had never been seen prior a "septate endometrium". I called my OBGYN and they had me come that afternoon to verify the pregnancy loss. My OBGYN took all of 3 seconds to find the heartbeat via vaginal ultrasound and confirmed that the anomaly seen on the ultrasound that morning was not accurate. It put a ridiculous amount of undue stress on myself and my spouse. I would hate this to happen to someone else like myself.
