On about April 18, 2025 I paid Perkes Roofing $26,200 to reroof my house. On June 28th I noticed the roof had long vertical lines in one section that made the shingles looked like they were stacked. I emailed Perkes Roofing on Saturday June 28th informing them of my discovery. They came to my house on Monday June 30th. We discussed patching a section of the roof to remove the lines.
Later on Monday evening I emailed Perkes Roofing informing them that the roofers didn't follow the manufacturer's installation guide lines. The manufacturer, Certainteed, states that the shingle that was installed on my house, Landmark TL, should be staggered 6 and 11 inch 5 course staggering or 5 5/8 and 11 1/4 inch staggering depending on which plant the shingles are manufactured at. And Certainteed states that any other staggering will result in an objectionable pattern. My roof has a 6 inch stagger and the pattern is very objectionable.
I didn't get a response from Perkes Roofing so I emailed them to verify that they had received my
    email. They responded, "Received".
On Tuesday July 1 Perkes Roofing emailed me stating that they were going to come out and talk to me about my roof. I responded, "Thanks let me know".
On July 1 at 5:40 pm I missed a call from Mark Perkes so he texted me requesting that I call him. I called, he stated that they were shutting down for the 4th of July 4th and he would contact me July 10th or 11th to make arrangements to come and talk to me. He asked if my roof was leaking, I responded, "No, so you can take your time to repair the roof". The way the conversation ended my impression was he would call me on the 10th or 11th, we would come to a resolution and they could fix the roof when ever they could schedule me in.
On July 8 I emailed Perkes Roofing informing them what I knew about manufacture's installation process so we would all be on the same page and to save time. I texted Perkes on July 21 to inform them that I was waiting for a call. No response.

Mr House complaint with the patterning on the roof is valid. We have scheduled a crew to remove and replace the affected areas at our cost to make sure he is happy with the final result.
