I bought micro blading eyebrow session through Groupon for $140 from Skin Foundations Advanced Aesthetics, *** * **** ****, Orem, UT 84058. The website listed was not valid. The phone number always transferred to voicemail at all times of the work day, and the address of location showed no business signage and later found it had an obscured basement entrance. I set an appointment up by leaving a voicemail for 10/02/2023 at 1:00 - 3:00 pm. I received a text back confirming the appointment. About a week prior to the appointment I looked up the address on Google maps and could not locate the business at the address given so I called and had to leave another voicemail asking the owner, Heather G*****, for clarification on the address and location. I never got a phone call back or text message. I arrived at the address given 10 minutes early and drove around and around a parking lot looking for the exact address number with google maps and could not locate it and saw no signage of the business so I called the number leaving a message for heather to call me back because I was not locating the business. I did this several times for about 30 minutes. I got no phone call back. Heather texted me later that afternoon and said she was sorry she missed me but charged my card for a no show anyway. I texted with her about the details I just wrote above and she denied that she was ducking my calls and my appointment calling me a stupid idiot for not finding the location. This was not a professional business as was advertised by Groupon and I believe Heather G***** is scamming me and probably others through Groupon.

I am rejecting this response because:

My issue isn’t with the policy of this business it is with the deceit to take money without providing a service by avoiding the the several phone calls to the business published number before and during the appointment time.  Any business that won’t take calls from their clients seeking assistance on the business location during their appointment slot, full well knowing their business is in an obscure location and difficult to locate is most notably trying to enforce a policy through deceit and fraud—charging for a service they did not intend to honor.

    Sincerely,

We are so very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you however, the business has been established for over a year at this location and in good standings with the city of Orem.
we apologize that you weren’t able to find the location after several signs have been posted from the street, parking lot and in the front door as well as ON OUR GOOGLE BUSINESS PAGE.

we understand that the weather was rainy and gloomy and may have affected your vision and ability to read clearly.

We  are sorry that we are unable to answer your phone call and assist you in finding your way around daily.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Skin Foundations Advanced Aesthetics & Academy, established in February 2023 with Orem City, is a one person setup run by Heather G*****.  Her deceitful tactics include an obscure basement room that does not have an address number visible from the street and an old faded banner that is unreadable from the parking lot.  With this in mind I ask Heather why she would not answer her cell phone from her scheduled client who called her several times before and during client’s appointment time. Heather was not busy with another client during this time and would most likely be paying attention to her phone since this is how she takes her appointments, not to mention the fact that any reasonable person would be checking their phone if waiting for their client.  However, I believe Heather purposely did not take any of my calls knowingly.  She heard my messages asking for further clarification on her location and knew she could use her No Show policy to charge my credit card without having to provide her services.
I would like Heather to refund the $199 she fraudulently stole from me and even more importantly I would like to see this complaint published with the BBB so it can be a warning to other potential victims.

    Sincerely,
