      This is a very shady business. As mentioned by other users, I was approached by the company about a free survey/evaluation for solar. I am normally pretty vigilant about these issues, however I was caught on a bad day. In retrospect, the sales agents used vague and misleading language and tactics - I am upset with myself for not catching some of these but believe another reasonable person would have also been mislead. I was misinformed about whether or not commitments were being made on my part, about the grace ****** to exit commitments without penalty, and on what those penalties would be. In whole, I believe this is a sketchy business on par with MLMs, crypto traders, and the like. It does just make me sad that these tactics are being used in an industry that is meant to bring good to the world.

      Solar panels installed and went live in January of 2023. Almost immediately started receiving low production messages from their own app. Multiple online and phone calls. Multiple visits from techs. Problem continues. Most recent tech on9/1 said the panels needed to be replaced. Scheduled for 9/17. No show. Called that is a 2 person job. Now 9/24. No show again. System still low producing. Called 9/24; multiple calls on 9/25 always the same promos. We will get back to you. Never hear anything from them. This has been going on for 9 months now. I want the panels removed from my house.

      I am being harassed by this company. I have told multiple representatives over the phone that have called and shown up at my door that I am not interested in their services and to stop bugging me but that still keep calling every couple of days and showing up at my door. I want it to stop.

      In the beginning of May of this year I had some roof damaged caused by high winds. I had contacted *** to schedule a partial removal, it was a process trying to get this scheduled and getting technicians out to remove before the roofing company were scheduled to do the repairs.Once I scheduled for the reinstallation after the roof repairs, I had issues with the panels that were re installed. Only 2 panels on Array D that were re-installed worked and another completely different array (Array C with 4 panels) that were not removed stopped working all together. I contacted *** to get someone out to look at the issue. It took over a month to get the issue resolved. There were 3 different technicians that went out and every time they called me to tell me that they had to reschedule. These technicians could not fix the issue, until the last technician said that it was an electrical issue during the re-install. Now I had to call again to schedule for one of ***'s electricians to come out and troubleshoot the system. That was another week on of waiting. The electrician found the issue, it was improper electrical connection up the re-install.2 weeks ago, I got notification from the App telling me that there is an issue with one of the panels on Array D and one on array A. Once again, I called to schedule for someone to come out to look at the issue. There was a technician scheduled to come out on Sep 15, 2023, and once again he called to reschedule. He told me that I should be receiving a call to reschedule. As of yet I have not had anyone contact me to reschedule.During the whole process on getting solar with your company you guys were awesome. I was contacted and informed through the entire process leading up to the installation of the solar and until we went hot. That I even recommended your company to other friends to get solar through ION. One of my friends that went through your company had an unpleasant experience with you all. Now I am running through the same situation with ***. This is very frustrating and I would like for ION to get this matter rectified.

      I had a sales representative visit my house, and told I would be receiving a “Free Estimate” for Solar on my residential home. I was talked into signing an agreement to get the process started on the “free estimate” on 6/27/2023. It wasn’t until 7/13 did a tech come to survey the home to determine the requirements and design of the project. On 7/14 I received a text msg stating the application to the electric company was being submitted, which I immediately responded to the same day, that I did not want to move forward with the project, because the solar design on the loan would be approx. $180 per month, whereas the house I had just purchased and still adjusting to, the electric bills were coming in under $100 per month. I also spoke with my rep on the phone stating I did not want to move forward with the project, to which he assured me we were done the process. Fast forward to Sept 15th, I received an email from ION asking for my electric bill records, to which I said I had canceled this request, but was then told I would be responsible for a $1500 cancellation fee. Why have I not heard from anyone with IONSOLAR for 2 months, thinking the account was closed, and now being told I am responsible for, “ All of that costs money and Ion is just getting repaid for the work we've done to this point.” I feel I was more than upfront, honest and responsive to all correspondence in this matter, however being mislead and scammed in this transaction. Because I signed an agreement in 6/27, I am being told that I needed to cancel by 6/30 to avoid any cancellation fee’s. How would anyone be able to make an informed decision in three days, when they did not receive the estimated design and/or cost until one or two weeks later. Then express the desire to terminate, and be reassured, only to be harassed 2 months later. In efforts to try an resolve by email, they said offered to settle for $500 to which I also refused to accept.

      In the past 5 days, salespeople from ION Solar have rang my doorbell on two different occasions even though I have two different signs posted stating "no solicitors". Not only is this a disturbance, but they were in violation of North Las Vegas city code 5.48.160, which states: Calling at residence posted "no peddlers."
      It is unlawful for any solicitor or canvasser selling or pretending to sell, or offering for sale, or demonstrating goods, wares, or merchandise of any kind or character, or any article, material or substance, to ring the bell, or knock on the door of any residence, dwelling flat, or apartment whereon a sign bearing the words "no peddlers," or other words of similar import is painted or affixed or exposed to public view, or to attempt to gain admittance thereto; provided, however, that the provisions of this section shall not apply to any solicitor or canvasser who knocks at any door or rings any bell at the invitation or with the consent of some member of the household at which he so applies for admission.

      (Prior code § 3.44.170)

      City code 5.48.170 then goes 9n to state - Violation—Penalty.
      Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine less than three hundred dollars ($300.00), or by imprisonment in the city jail not to exceed six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

      Next time someone from ION rings my doorbell, I will contact authorities and have them detained for being in violation of the above North Las Vegas city codes.

      I signed a contact with ION solar on 11/5/22 after being given a wonderful sales pitch. About 7 weeks later my panels finally got put on after holes also got put through my walls. Weeks later during inspection, they realized I didnt have a correct sticker on my panel box THEY installed, but they were also out of stock of correct sticker, so had to wait for them to get back in stock I order for inspection to be complete. During this time, it was a four week process to get my wall fixed and it was never painted. After that, it has been problem after problem after problem 10 months later, my solar panels are still not working and I am yet again on hold while they are waiting for a yet another part. The day they came to officially turn my solar panels on. They learned one of the panels is broken and it is never actually been turned on. I have reached out to the company regularly and mostly only get Im sorry for your frustration response.Just today theyve offered to give me $114. That literally was an insult as I have been spending double money each month since February for my solar panel payment and my power company. I was told solar panel would save me a lot of money but instead I am paying double bills every month since February On Saturday.Ive spent an extra $480 on panels Ive yet to be able to use and today they said they still dont know when the part will be in.

      July 11, 2023, received call from Jazz B****** who is the exe Resolution mgr. Was told they would do whatever it took to rectify the situation. Received a text from Eliza from that she had been in contact with the op manager and was writing up a ticket for work. July 17 the crew returned and installed 10 inverters but did not have the noise suppression filter. We called Jazz B****** again to be sure our system would be operating properly today. August 4, returned to replace the elec wiring to the envoy panel because there were nicks in the wiring. System working when he left. August 8, lost power to the system, called and left a message. August 20 no return call. found both fuses in disconnect were blown and the interior cover in the envoy was broken. Replaced fuses myself $27 and the system worked for 3 days. Fuses blew again on August 24th. On August 27th, we texted Eliza and have never received a response. August 30th called was told to leave a message. No response as of 9-7-23. We feel that a short is in the wire which could be a fire hazard and we have lost the power of the summer and had to pay higher power bills as a result.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I have not received any information regarding resolving this issue.  I was told by Ion that I would hear from them today with a date and time that the system would be repaired and put back in full service.  I sent Kolton with Ion a text this afternoon about where they stand and received no response.  I have a history with this company lying to me innumerable times and until our system has been repaired and proven to be operating for some time, I will not sign off on the complaint.

      My ION Solar system has a known system issue that they will not come out to evaluate without me giving them money. I have had them come out twice and paid them $500 to only have the system still not operate. They have sent me emails of which I have kept for record and when I called them this last time the first thing they went to is pay us $250 to send someone out again for the same known issue. This is unacceptable especially since the system has been down now for three months and they won’t come to fix it unless I pay them. I want them to fix any wiring or system disconnect issues free of charge or escalated to Enphase the manufacturer for repair.

      Working with Ion Solar has been the most stressful and challenging project ever. I moved into *********** in August 2021 and on the same day we moved in a sales technician named ******* came knocking on my door and i wish i had never opened my door to these scammers. I signed a contract for a loan on solar panels on the same day and since then my nightmares began. Ion Solar has a dedicated *** team that works with ***s to get approval currently *************************. Ion Solar didnt get approval from *** nor bothered to find out whether we owned our roof before installing 13 panels on our roof. We failed inspection because our *** owns the roof and we are not allowed to have solar panels. We spent 2 years going back and forth with Ion Solar and the *** and Xcel as well as the city and county. Our *** modified their rules and made an exception just for us to keep the panels after working with the city and county. Mind you we were paying for our solar panel loan $24,000 as well as electricity from Xcel completely defeating the purpose of having solar panels. I have even talked to **** their VP who has eventually ghosted me. They already got their money from the bank for the panels so why bother to make things right? For 2 whole years i have been stuck paying for solar panels i never got to use. I finally gave up and said i dont want the panels anymore this is too much and didnt wish to pay for 2 utility bills. Still no resolution. There are lots of other solar companies competent enough please dont let these scam artists inside your home. I have worked with ***************************** from sales, ************************* from ***, project coordinator ******, ***************************** and *********************** as well as **** their VP. None of them were competent enough to accomplish anything in the past 2 years. These people will take your money and disappear.
