On April 26, 2024, I called ALC Auto Locksmith at ###-###-#### to solicit services from them because their Google profile stated being in business for 10+ years and had hundreds of positive reviews. I was told an available locksmith would contact me. One contacted me via text. He said he’d be on site in about 35 minutes which became an hour. Once on-site — without making accusations— he exhibited abnormal behavior & kept fumbling with his pants which produced strange sounds that made me feel unsafe & uncomfortable.

I asked them to unlock my car & they unlocked my car. At the end of the service, the price was $190.46 & I paid $191.46. I received an invoice & a receipt via text. I did not feel safe or comfortable confronting him about the quality of service, his presentation, or the price of service. I paid without protest to part quickly. I decided to contact ALC Auto Locksmith to relate my concerns. However, when searching online for them nothing came up; only the following: ****************

To investigate further, from my search history I retrieved the initial Google review & saw the phone # listed was different. I called them at ###-###-#### but their listed phone # was now ###-###-####. So I turned to the Utah business name search which produced the following (without sharing personal info):

    Entity Number *************

    Status Expired as of 09/15/2020

    Registration Date 05/14/2019

NAICS Code 8114 NAICS Title 8114- Personal & Household Goods Repair

Receiving sketchy services from a business without an active business license, that was advertised online as fair and reliable, & after attempting to contact ALC Auto Locksmith, get help from my bank & the police, and being advised to contact the BBB, is the reason for this claim.
