KC came and gave us a bid for epoxy flooring in our basement. He seemed very knowledgeable and willing to get us a great price with a great product. We discussed the different types of options for the top coating. Total was $9600 but said if he was able to do it cheaper that he would refund us the difference, which I thought was admirable. I sent him a deposit 2 days later and he said he was going to come by to show my wife some examples. The next days after I sent him the $4800 deposit he was suppose to come by but "due to other jobs and being busy was not able to make it". OK not a big deal, I understand that jobs can go on longer than expected. I started to become concerned after I tried reaching out to him and did not get any response. This went on for 4 days. I finally decided that I was not going to lose $4800 and filed a dispute with my credit card company. After I sent him that text saying I had filed a dispute he of course called me. I informed him that I was concerned because you were suppose to show us samples a week ago and we still have nothing to show for our $4800. He said he was busy and one of his connections decided not to use them so he was having to find another place to rent his equipment. I said that is fine. I can reverse the dispute but we need to see some results. He said he understood and would come by. AGAIN, never heard from him. He told me several times that he had approved the refund to my card and it was a problem with my credit card company. I called them and they told me at least 2 times if not 3 times that they had not received anything back from him. He then proceeded to tell me that I put in 2 disputes. The problem is the second dispute is from a company that I have never heard of. I informed him that I have never heard of that company and it is not a company that I have any credit cards or bank accounts with. I just heard today from my credit card that he refused the refund. I will need to contact a lawyer. Stay AWAY!!
