Jaar Builders used manipulative tactics to gain our business for remodeling our home by charging us 50% over market value for their work, fraudulently claiming they were experienced and trustworthy, and starting multiple projects at once to obtain funds for 50% of their fee without proper completion. It has taken months of inspections and estimates with reputable contractors to determine our overall loss. Upon the results, it was determined that the majority of the work our contractor did was illegal, incorrect, and unsafe. The total amount that we have paid to Jaar Builders and also to the individual contractor via venmo equates to $161,608.41. At this point, we are still living in the basement of our home and have been now for a year and a half (since the beginning of the remodel). We have used our entire life savings on this remodel, including paying for things twice to have them redone correctly. We have had to obtain multiple loans in order to get this project started again and will need funds back in order to move into the Master Suite we spent so much money on. With the documentation and evidence provided, we feel we are legally owed $64,960.85 to $84,264.60. At this point, we would settle for a lower amount to cut ties and move on so long as we can complete our home with a reputable contractor. Our goal is to receive the funds we are owed and hopefully prevent others from the same heartache we have endured. Breakdown of job reimbursements below. (see attached pdfs)

    Basement: $8,778
    Exterior: $7,955.45
    Electrical: $16,394.95
Hardwood, Tile and Shower Bench (grout omitted): $12,645
    HVAC: $10,162.45
    Plumbing: $5,250
    Misc Items: $1,775
