I spoke with ****************** regarding his concern.  The customer service person could have been more patient in dealing with Mr. ******** request as all he needed was a clarification of his account number.  We discussed several options to transfer money using digital banking and believe all issues have been resolved.  Thank you.

Yesterday I had a ************ take money from my bank account. I was trying to work with the bank and give them information regarding the scam so they could block my card. They blocked access to my account so i could not communicate with them regarding the scam. I probably have lost my money to the scam. $119 And a second charge for $59 for an item that was supposed to be $39.99.

Utah First Credit Union has reached out to the *******************  The complaint is a result of ****************** being unsatisfied with a product he purchased, which is beyond **** First's control.  Per ********************** request, his card was blocked so that no new charges will be processed by the merchant.  ****************** is working with the merchant regarding the product.

I am rejecting this response because:
Part of the complaint had to do with UFCU not being able to look at a way to solve the problem with the vendor. While i was trying to research whether the vendor was a scam UGCU disabled my account.  This took me beyond the time period where the charges could be reversed.
      Sincerely,

      *************************

I desire that the complaint be resolved immediately. Nothing needs to be done

      Business Response

****************** had a transaction authorized on June 6, 2023, and reached out to **** First to block the transaction.  Our team responded that we are unable to block a transaction, and could work on a dispute after the transaction posted to his account.  We provided him with a phone number to contact for the merchant as he stated he initially authorized the transaction, but the charge was higher than expected.  It is our practice that when a member authorizes a charge, they must work with the merchant to resolve the matter, unless it was not authorized by the member.  ****************** stated he authorized the charge, and the merchant was unwilling to refund his funds.  ****************** also received the merchandise purchased from the merchant.  ********************** account was not blocked during this time.  Our team had been communicating with him through his digital banking messaging. **** First has left ****************** multiple voice messages to try to resolve the matter.  We find with this type of purchase there tends to be fine print on the purchase that the initial charge is one amount, and if it is not cancelled within a certain time frame that a charge for a larger amount will be processed.  The current complaint will need to be resolved with the merchant.  We are willing to contact the merchant with ****************** if he would like.

*********************** (Complainant) applied for a vehicle loan with Utah First Federal Credit Union (**** First) on 4/26/2023. Complainant has also applied for additional loans in the past with **** First:
      7/13/2021           Vehicle Loan
      9/3/2022             Visa Credit Card
      3/22/2023           Personal Loan

**** First considers all loan requests and makes decisions based on several factors, not just the credit report. In the case of the Complainants most recent application, **** First was not able to approve the loan. Complainant mentions issues on his credit report. Although those matters were weighed, they were not the only influences in our decision.

The loan decision was shared in great detail with Complainant by the Lender, a Branch Manager, and a Senior Credit Manager. Upon request, **** First is happy to discuss further.
