    I received a notice that I was sent to collections for a hospital visit in 2018. I began paying to Mountain Land Collections and paid a total of $2415.25. My mother is a medical ****** and asked me why I had paid on an account that was paid for by my insurance. I was young and did not understand how insurance worked. I have since contacted my insurance and they have denied it based on timeliness, and later filed an appeal which shows that the patient responsibility is $0. I have spoken to multiple people at Epic Physicians who have pulled up my accounts with no issue, and today when I called to speak to someone about a refund for the $2,415.25 that I am owed, they suddenly couldn't find my account and claim that they have no ability to see bills before 2018. I have contacted Mountain Land Collections and they say that Epic Emergency Physicians has my money and that they would be responsible for refunding me. I will be contacting a lawyer to file a lawsuit if I do not receive my refund. These people have been impossible to work with and with all of the reviews I am seeing I am starting to think they are involved in something sketchy.

    BEWARE!!! This company has a fraudulent billing business model. My daughter was seen by a physician in this group in July 2022. They never filed with her secondary insurance despite multiple requests by my daughter and myself over a course of several months. They assured her they did file and would put her account on hold. ALL LIES! They sent her account to collections 3.30.23 and after doing so FINALLY sent her claim to her secondary insurance 4.20.23. This is a breach of in network provider contracts! They cannot send members to collections before filing a claim! My daughter paid off collections and EPIC received full payment from her secondary insurance. To this day they have not paid her the amount she paid. They were paid TWICE! By the patient and the insurance plan! SHAME ON THEM! Check out their website to know where to avoid these scammers! The physicians should be held accountable for their fraudulent billing practices! ************************
