      I been an excellent tenant for 3 years in this apt complex apt ***, never late on payments, my apt was sparkly clean took good care of it because I was raised that way. I don't even allow shoes on carpet and I lived there alone. Used almost microscopic nails to hang my pictures on the wall and damage free strips for other stuff, didn't leave any holes or giant gushes anywhere. I scrabed it before I vacated and left it better than I found it, even Frank the property mgr during the walk through said "if only everyone leaves the place like this' and said I would get my full deposit of $600. I have it recorded on my phone and I also took pictures how I left it (Which was a lie now that I didn't get my full deposit) Then I get a refund check for $250 they listed a bunch of stuff that should be covered by them such as cleaning carpet and painting that's what other offices do. I did the same in my previous apt and got my full deposit along with recommendation letter. They assume cleaning and painting responsibilities and the deposit is only for when you damage or trash the place. These people are greedy and liars. They felt the neef to retaliate because I didn't renew the lease since they kept raising the rent each year and yet, not updating anything in the apt, never replaced a thing. They replaced a broken blind because they go for cheap material, told me it's on them, 3 weeks later, they left me a note of $25 due for the blinds which I paid as it's too little money to argue over even though they had refused to put in a new lock when I moved in as the old one was broken so i bought my own and had them install it which I did not take when I left. My 2nd year they made me an ultimatum to renew the lease in order to replace a non working stove which was insane. I renewed and got a new stove. I felt retaliated against for vacating. The only charge I agree on is the $25 washer hose and I should get total refund of $575 instead of $250.
