The Ute conference used an illegal Bait and Switch practice to get players into their organization and then once they secured enough players, they switched the division of said players. We (as well as many others) were promised multiple times by multiple different representatives from the Ute conference organization that we would be able to play in the ******** district even though we lived in the ********** district due to the fact that we played for Syracuse city league in the past. We were told by district representatives that we were "grandfathered in".The conference did this to increase the numbers in the program in the ************ area and entice players to move from the **** to the Ute conference league. Now that the conference has baited enough players over and no longer needs to entice players over, they switched the players over to a different division despite the promises that were made on multiple occasions by multiple district presidents and representatives.Bait and Switch practices are illegal (Utah Code 13-11a-3) in **** and the district needs to return the transfers back to the original divisions they were promised they could participate in. We will be seeking legal counsel in reference to this complaint.

We are a play where you live organization.  ********************* did not read the terms and conditions and signed up anyway. Unfortunately we have rules that guide our organization that are not always popular with parents who have agendas. She has threatened litigation. There is no place in youth sports for parents who want to **** Now she runs to the BBB.

Kids adjust and do great when the adults let them thrive on their own.  We will not be deterred by people who want to put their own agenda over 9000 other players.

****** has been offered a refund up to 7/24 and then we will not be refunding any money to her.

I am formally rejecting this response.

I am writing to formally respond to the Ute Football Conference's response to our complaint regarding my sons eligibility and mistreatment within the youth football league. Their response is not only unprofessional but also strategically omits critical information, resulting in a misleading portrayal that unfairly paints us as liars and cheaters, which is absolutely not the case.
For the past two years, my son has played football within the Syracuse Ute District without issue. At the time of his initial enrollment,we were transparent about our residential address. I had a direct conversation with the Ute Conference Syracuse District President, who assured me that if we chose the Ute league instead of the Syracuse **** league, my son would be allowed to play and would be grandfathered into the Syracuse District. Based on this assurance, we joined the Ute league. We would not have chosen the Syracuse District without these assurances.
Recently, the Ute Conference rescinded these agreements without notice, which is both unfair and concerning. We have always complied with the league's requirements, as directed by the district president, and never misrepresented any aspect of our situation. The agreements made by the Syracuse District President were followed for two consecutive years, providing prima facie evidence that we were doing nothing wrong and acting in good faith, while remaining ethical throughout.
The Ute Conference's response to our BBB complaint fails to acknowledge that district presidents made verbal agreements to allow players from the **** league to play in specific non-boundary districts within the Ute Conference, in violation of their own contract. These agreements were made in good faith based on assurances given by district representatives.
Furthermore, the Ute Conference terminated these agreements and transfer lists after the 2024 **** sign-*** were closed, leaving families with no option to return to their previous leagues. This timing was unethical and left families without recourse.
We believe the Ute Conference engaged in unethical and potentially unlawful activities, including breach of oral contract and bait-and-switch tactics. Their response omits these critical facts and portrays us unfairly. We never lied or misrepresented our situation and followed the approvals given to us for two consecutive years.
The community deserves to know the truth about these practices. The Ute Conferences response lacks transparency and fails to reflect the reality of our situation. We believe the Ute Conference did not exercise due diligence in assessing individual player situations by giving families the ability to present their individual case and circumstances.
We request that BBB take our complaint seriously and address the unethical and potentially unlawful behavior exhibited by the Ute Conference. It is important for the integrity of youth sports and the trust of the community that these practices are rectified.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

      Sincerely,

      *********************
