    Hello,
    My name is ****** ******** and I went to SLC Ink in June with the intention of get a tattoo. I had a very negative experience however, and am hoping to prevent this from happening to anyone else in the future.

    My consultation was scheduled with Raphael on 6/18/22, and he was an hour late to our appointment. This tattoo was incredibly important to me, so I brought very clear reference photos. He said he understood what I was looking for, and we scheduled to do the appointment on 6/25/22. Unfortunately the design he had prepared for me was nothing like what I'd requested. Not slightly off, it was completely different. I cannot blame the mistake on miscommunication because I even brought a reference sheet with annotations in Spanish just to ensure we would be on the same page. I said that the design wouldn't work, and he spent 2 hours drawing in the back before telling me we would need to reschedule. So I came back the next day at our scheduled time (5pm), but he didn't come out until almost 6pm. He had attempted to redesign the tattoo, but unfortunately while it was a bit closer, it still didn't meet the requirements I had clearly specified. I was there until almost 8pm before I decided that it wasn't going to work out.

    Before I left, I asked the front desk if the $250 deposit I had paid would at least cover his design fee, and they ensured me it would. I never agreed to lose the entire deposit; in fact, I asked the front desk what the refund process would look like. The next day, I submitted a refund request, asking for a partial refund. I made it clear that I did not want a full refund because I wanted Rafael to be compensated properly. I never heard back from them until today when I reached back out. They have denied any refund at all. After my experience here, I believe a partial refund is in order. I spent a total of +5 hours waiting on their bench, and his designs cannot be worth $250 when I have literally nothing to show for it. No design, no tattoo.
