On 8/21, my girlfriend and I were approached by a door knock salesperson. Initially, we were told that he was a representative of AT&T. During that time, there was no mention of his actual employer (ChipR). He told us that they are offering a promotion bundle package with 500MBPS internet service and two cell-phone lines for $75.00 Our current plan was with Spectrum and we were completely ok with what we had. The only reason we switched was because of the pricing that the doorknocker gave us. As skeptical as we were, I made him confirm via text message to make sure he was 100% right on his pricing otherwise please don't come to our house to set up the service. He confirmed the pricing and stopped by our home. In the same week, I canceled our previous service and signed up with him. We ended up getting stuck with a $253/month bill. After days of attempting to reach out, he blocked us and only unblocked me when I sent him a message that I will file a complaint with the DTPA in Texas. We have been in touch with the regional manager and now it seems he is not responding anymore and interested helping us further resolve this huge issue. The doorknocking salesman lied to get us to sign up and they have not fulfilled any parts of their promises to us.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

This is 100% gross negligence and breaching a contract with clear intent by Jared Jones attempting to avoid communication with me by blocking me. For ChipR to just suggest that this type of incident won’t happen again does not change anything with how this situation affects me as a consumer.

AT&T is no longer relevant because it was a ChipR sales representative that approached my house.

    Sincerely,

    ****** ****
