    I prepaid to have results of a lab test explained to me by Dr. L***** however I decided not to have the testing done so Dr. L***** did not provide any services for this amount rendered. When I asked for a refund she indicated her office does not give refunds and I can have a credit to use additional services if I wanted. I did not want to have any services by her and this is why I did not do the other testing with an outside lab. I had once appointment for that I did pay for and other than that I have not had any other services; I just want my $200.00 back.

    This patient signed paperwork that informed her that payment is due at the time of service. This includes fees for labs ordered that I feel is medically necessary. This patient paid these fees and I did not hear from her for over 2 months until she contacted me through direct messaging on Instagram expecting a medical consult through social media. I informed her that she needs to make a follow up appointment for a medical consult and that I do not do medical visits or advice through social media. This is when the patient became angry and sent threatening messages to me and then demanded a refund, something my practice does not provide.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I did not ask for a medical consult through IG. I told her I was not going through with the lab testing because I didn’t like her as a provider from the first appointment and I didn’t do any lab testing and didn’t like that she only provided services online. So I wanted the money back that I prepaid for her to give me my lab test results. NO OTHER SERVICES WERE SONE OR REQUESTED. Some times it’s hard for a provider to understand that someone doesn’t feel or have a connection with them. I simply wanted money back for lane she want going to have to do any work on because I wasn’t going to do them. Telling a business if they do not provide a refund on services never rendered is not threat, if a refund was not given then I would leave that in online reviews and with the BBB that is how it works when a business wants to keep money for something never done. I am ok for her to deduct 25.00 for a kit she shipped me that I did not use. I never signed an agreement that said I would give her money for work not done. I will agree to a $175.00 refund. If not I will do as the BBB has suggested in their online suggestions. I didn’t agree to just giving money and I was never told no refunds.

    This is not what happened, the patient sent lengthy medical information over instagram expecting a consult and got angry and threatening when she was informed an appointment needed to be made. Therefore she expected medical advice from someone she claims she did not like as a provider. Payment due at time of service, meaning both labs ordered and visit. This is my last correspondence to this issue, I am a busy provider and unfortunately have no more time to devote to this. Thank you

    I did not agree to a non return policy. A business must  know how to tell the difference between anger and not feeling a connection with a provider and accept that. It does not mean you can keep my money because you’re upset for me saying I did not like you as a provider. Keeping money of a patient for lab work that was to be done at another lab which would have been l paid by me directly to the lab not to Amanda Lucero. I paid to have mentioned labs explained to me which did not happen because I didn’t do the labs and as I said did not like her as a provider. Refund my money this is poor business on Amanda Luceros part and I will do as the BBB guidelines suggests, that is not a threat and neither is asking for my money back and saying that I will report to the BBB as the site suggests. I agree as to $25.00 less for a kit in which I did not use. I expect a $175.00 refund, no time was taken but my money was.
