    I purchased an Oztent RX-5 tent for about $2,500, advertised as a durable, all-weather camping tent. On its first use, the tent had major failures, including leaking through seams and zippers, a torn rainfly, bent grommets, and a full structural collapse under light rain and wind. These defects made the tent unusable and unsafe, clearly due to manufacturing faults, not user error.

    Oztent’s warranty states customers are entitled to a replacement or full refund for major failures and compensation for foreseeable loss or damage.

    After discovering the defects, I contacted Oztent customer service daily by phone and email, providing photos and proof of purchase. Despite this, the company has not issued a refund, replacement, or return shipping label. Their replies have been generic and dismissive, ignoring the major failure.

    I have also asked family members internationally to contact them, but no resolution has been reached.

    Because of the defective product and Oztent’s refusal to honor their warranty, I have been left with an unusable tent and financial loss, causing significant frustration.

    I request the BBB’s help in enforcing Oztent’s warranty, obtaining a full refund, and ensuring return shipping costs are covered by the company.
