Complaint Against: ALL SERVE Date of Service: 11/13/2025 Issue: Misdiagnosis, Overcharging, and Poor Service On November 13, 2025, a technician from ALL SERVE came to my home to fix an issue with my furnace, which was blowing cold air and turning on and off intermittently. The technician diagnosed the problem as a faulty flame sensor, spent about 30 minutes on the repair, and charged me $275 on the spot. There was no receipt provided at the time of payment—I had to request it separately, which I finally received on November 18, 2025. I later noticed that my furnace has a sticker advertising a $59 tune-up, yet I was charged significantly more without any explanation. Within 30 days, the furnace stopped working again with the exact same issue. When the technician returned, he claimed it was a different problem—even though the symptoms were exactly the same. He refused to investigate further unless I paid him again. At that point, I decided to hire another HVAC company. The second company thoroughly inspected the furnace and found that the real issue was a grounding problem and a faulty gas valve. They properly grounded the unit, replaced the gas valve, and spent several hours ensuring the system worked correctly—all for the same price I originally paid ALL SERVE. This proves that ALL SERVE misdiagnosed the issue and charged me for a repair that did not resolve the problem. I am requesting a partial refund of $216, leaving only the $59 tune-up charge that was advertised. I would appreciate BBB’s assistance in resolving this matter. Requested Resolution: A refund of $216. Sincerely. PS: Their physical address is different on the invoice: 8799 S. Sutton Way, Cottonwood Heights , Utah 84121. Same phone # 801-808-5851.
