I bought a Subaru outback from them. I'm pretty sure you guys see me. I've been all over the Internet, but you don't know is that I have a witness to the whole deal in hand. I asked if there's any issues with the car besides the cracked windshield in the tire pressure That I knew of they said no I popped the hood and asked about the oil tell they didn't know maybe from the oil change or whatever top off they did but I asked four times that if I had any mechanical issues that I didn't need the car I needed to get up to Park city as soon as I sign for the car, I took it straight to a mechanic when I found out I had mechanical issues. I took it back and asked for my refund. They told me no it was sold as is I don't need another car that doesn't run. I had a car parked in my apartment and it's still parked at my apartment right now because it doesn't run. Why would I buy a second car that doesn't so they sold me a lemon they lied about the fact that it had issues and also the airbags never went off so they sold me a faulty carInitial Complaint

I bought a car on 1/30/24, I made it very clear to Brandon M******* (Floor Manager) and Kaden T****** (Salesperson) that I needed to not have a January registration, this was a deal breaker. Brandon said, "Oh , yeah, we can do February, even March." I now know that this is 100% a lie. That is only one of the deceptive things said to me in order to make the sale for January.
Brandon is a master manipulator and not straightforward. I couldn't even get the price of the car - there is no window sticker on the car (it's rolled up "nicely" for you in the glovebox) and you cannot get the information online. As he was going through numbers, he would switch from leasing to buying - I never said I wanted to lease, it was a tactic to confuse me. He would often say one number but write another, he claimed to have dyslexia (RIGHT). I don't know how many times I said, "Your simple math doesn't add up."
I was "given" $1,000 credit - BUT charged $1,895 for a multi-point protection which was not disclosed - tinted windows and a clear bra. As far as I can tell, tinted windows are standard on a Mazda.
When presented with the warranties I asked if I had to do that and Brandon said, yes, in order to get the $1,000 credit - that is not true.
I was told that the anti-theft was a number etched in the windows. That is 100% not true, it is stickers on the doors. For this I got to pay $299, plus tax.
Then I ended up with a January registration. Jake B****, the GM, said they would pay for my 2025 registration. Chris S****, another floor manager, told me they would get it changed to February, and that he had personally just gotten his changed. That is 100% a lie, you are not able to change your registration month.
Overall, I feel that this dealership is incredibly deceptive and taking advantage of people. I've had 4 Mini's over 20 years. Mini handles the sales process very different than all other dealerships, and that is what I have been used to.Business Response

We have already addressed these issues gave money back and gone above and beyond to help. We have also offered to pay for her registration for the next year. We can’t control when the registration is due because of the fact of when the vehicle is bought. We have apologized and gone way above to make sure we rectified this situation.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: The response does not address the blatant lies I was told: 1)That there is a number etched on the windows (by the GM), and 2)That they can change my registration to February (I was lied to verbally and in writing that you could change the registration month). Yes, I have been reimbursed for the other bogus warranty I was made to buy for a replacement key and they will pay my registration for 1 year. I am asking to be reimbursed for the $299 plus tax for the "etching" that is actually stickers on the inside of the doors, and 6 years worth of registrations (the life of the loan). These are 100% deceptive practices.
Sincerely,

As we have stated we are not going to do anything with the registration for the life of the loan. We agreed on the phone to the terms of which we satisfied. The customer then wanted us to give more far after the fact. We will not be giving anymore money to this customer. Like I stated before if she would like a free oil change service I would be glad to through that in. But we feel as we did nothing wrong and have gone above and beyond in this situation.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: they are blatantly lying. How can they say they've done nothing wrong? FOUR different employees, including the GM, lied to me. How is this acceptable?I was lied to about so many things, but the focus here is the registration month, which CANNOT be changed, and I was told verbally by Chris S****, sales manager, that he changed his own, and he also put it in writing that it would be a February to February. This is not possible.
Jake B**** lied to me about the etched numbers on the windows, that were supposedly done prior to the vehicle being brought to the dealer, this was the theft protection plan. When I asked Chris to show me these etched numbers that I could not find anywhere, he confessed that they are actually stickers on each door.
Sincerely,

Me and my wife bought a used sprinter van that was converted into a camper from Tim Dahle Mazda Southtowne on March *******. While driving home the vehicle went it limp mode, as the dealer told us it needed a new "battery" They replaced the battery and it still had the same problems. Since then the dealership still has the car and has taken it to west valley dodge for repairs, I was informed the same problem was happening after dodge did their repairs. It has now been almost 2 months, still don't have the vehicle. Also during the finance portion of buying this vehicle, their finance guy asked if me and my wife would be okay writing a letter lying about how much we make by double. We have voicemails, email of him doing so,. During this 2 months they have also yet asked if we needed a rental car until I told them I needed one for a trip. I have been borrowing a family members car since I traided in my personal vehicle. *** Dahle Staff has been nohting short of disrespectful calling us liars, hanging up on us, and telling us our vehicle is done when it's actually at another dealership being fixed. We have obviously bought a lemon and would like to return it and no longer havet he vehicle, its been two months and we still don't have title and registration in our name nor plates.Business Response

I'm sorry that you have had some unfortunate events happen with your vehicle purchase. We have given you a rental car and have been in constant contact on this vehicle you have had your vehicle and we have brought it back to fix said problems at no cost to you but should have cost you thousands of dollars for problems we decided to fix after the fact of the first problem of the battery. I understand your frustration but we have done exactly what we said we would do and just returning the vehicle isn't an option. If you would like to have any conversation about this please feel free to reach out and either myself or my management staff would love to try and help.

On May 20th I got a vehicle from Tim dahle mazda southtowne and never got my plates or anything and I would ask for updates and they would not have any. Untill 08/02/23 I got a call from the financial manager I was working with and mentioned that the bank sent back the pay off amount of my previous vehicle and says it was more then what we wrote down that I pulled up on my phone and gave them the dollar amount to the penny. And they are saying that the pay off is much more then what I told them and I have been back and forth with the dealership trying to get a hold of the financial manager that I was working with since 08/02/23 . I spoke to the bank today 08/08/23 and found out that the dealership lied about the payoff amout and that the bank got the check from the dealership on 06/07/23 for the full amount that I gave them and pulled up on my phone. I haven't even made a payment on the vehicle and the vehicle has the dealer tag that is expired from 07/13/23 and the dealership won't get back to me to discuss just getting a check for sale of my previous vehicle and taking the vehicle I got from them back. Pay off amount was 3,753.80 and now at 80 days later after sale reaching out to me to re do paperwork since "the bank didn't approve the check for the pay off and it's actually alot more".Business Response

I purchased or attempted to purchase a car from *** Valley Mazda Southtowne and put down a $3000 down payment on the car. The windshield in the car has been replaced and it has not been calibrated and the dealership would not fix it or honor it and so I took the car back and returned it to them. I attempted many times to get a hold of **** the sales manager. I know the finance manager, and got the runaround from him being directed to many different areas and a week and a half later, I was able to receive a check. This check was for $1285.23 but I had given them a $3000 down payment. Theres a discrepancy and they will not talk to me. They are ignoring my phone calls. *** even went to corporate and theyve said that thats not the corporate office. Its just a big runaround. So I need help retrieving this money or getting an answer about where that money went. Could you help?Business Response

You did not return the vehicle we had you bring it back because you falsified you income on the credit application and you gave fraudulent paystubs. This is a federal offense and we chose not to press charges that we lawfully have every right to do. You were charged for miles and restocking the car we gave you the difference back. You agreed to these terms and signed the contract.Customer Answer

We purchased and traded in a car with this location on 1/6/2023. We have had numerous issues including improper listings on the vehicle for features that were not included. Yo-yo financing, then a secondary round of yo-yo financing after re-signing. We were then signed under a finance company that we were not aware the loan was going to be processed through. As of 3/10/2023 the trade in car has not been paid off, and my credit has had a 60 day late payment reported to it. We have contacted this location multiple times to resolve the issue and are repeatedly told we will be contacted back with no follow up.Initial Complaint

My sister and I were looking for a car on 12/28/22 at the Mazda dealership in *****. They had offered ** a price up-front for a car and then after pulling the credit score and 4 hours of test driving and secretively discussing with their finance team, right before signing the deal, they increased the price by 1,400$ claiming it was an inspection fee and did not have an explanation as to what that was. So we left and no longer wanted the vehicle. After a couple of hours we called and wanted to know what the inspection fee was and if we could talk to a finance manager, but they refused to speak to us about the sudden price increase. Because of this long and manipulative experience, we took upon ourselves to write a ****** review through ******************* and website, which encourages to write reviews. We wrote about our experience in an honest manner. An hour later, one of the sales reps calls my sister and explicitly states that they saw the review and wanted to know what they could do in order for her to take it down. Then later one of the manager calls, ****, and says he may be able to remove the extra $1400 that was added on to get us to remove the review. Then ****, the general manager calls, and tries to blackmail us to remove the review through the persuasion of the car sale. When my sister declined and asked about what changed, **** got increasingly hostile and said the review impacted the price. When my sister began to question the process of the sale, **** then claimed that he was recording the call without her consent and was going to *** for defamation of character because of the ****** review. When my sister said that she did nothing wrong by writing the honest review, **** then claimed that ****** would not believe her and only believes them because ***************** pays a lot to use their system. Not only did they waste our time but they kept harassing us for writing honest reviews and threatening to blackmail us for not removing it.Business Response
