Beware purchasing a Total ********* package! We were pressured to purchase this insurance along with our new Prius from *********************** in ******, **. ********* was well aware we were immediately driving the car to another state where there was no Total ********* service near our home city. OK...chalk this up to our short-sightedness. Upon realizing my error, I tried to cancel the policy (web-based cancelation) and get a refund for the unspent portion. After getting no email response from the company for several days to verify the cancellation (as their webpage stated they would do), I telephoned to enquire about progress on the cancellation. The receptionist told me cancellations "are processed on a first-come, first serve basis" (whatever that means!) and take up to 4-5 weeks to refund the balance. I note that Total ********* took less than 24 hours to withdraw $$ from our **** account when we purchased the policy but hold on to our money for weeks when pondering a cancellation!

Hi *******, It looks like we did receive you request to cancel your contracts. We sent a cancellation form via DocuSign and are waiting for this to be returned. I can also see we reached out again yesterday to see if you have received it. If you haven't please email me at ********************************* or call me at ************ so I can help get this processed for you.

Terrible company to deal with for a warranty! I wouldnt ever recommend them again! They dont honor their claims and they do shady repair requirements! I brought my car in for failing transmission, a defective speaker that randomly works and crackles, a defective mirror with gears grinding and the mirror whistles loud while driving, wiper blades that are rain sensing randomly wiping when its dry and not stopping, and a center piece where the *** plug is at the door gear has failed and it wont open or close. The car has 73xxx miles on it and is a 2016 and I have owned it less than a year. When I purchased the warranty I was sold the comprehensive with high technology, smart technology, and seals and gaskets. They refused to replace the speaker (technology) refused to replace the mirror (technology) refused to replace the center door to access the *** (technology) (possibly smart). Approved a wiper switch replacement, and the transmission (a rebuild) well, I took the car in and I have been out of my car for 2 weeks. Last week the technician diagnosed that the transmission needs to be replaced due the parts inside chattering against the case and causing damage to the inside of the case. Well, total loan care looked at some pictures and told them to FILE down the case and to rebuild it! Not replace it. Disregarding the technician and what they recommend and in my opinion modifying the original build of a transmission. When I called and tried to have them replace it they said I can pay to have it replaced or that filing will be fine because he worked on transmissions! I also talked to them about the other items they denied and they said that its not covered? These guys scam you out of costs for technology warranty by making questionable repair requests and not honoring their warranty offers when they sell you on them! My speaker is technology item, my mirror is comprehensive/technology item, my center console wont open to access my *** port should be technology.

So here I am almost three years from purchasing a new car from ************************* for my daughter who was going off to college. During the final financing we specifically discussed the *********** program as we had it on previous vehicles and were very happy with it. Since my daughter was going off to school we wanted her to have no worry maintenance for the foreseeable future. They signed us up, we finished purchasing the car and all was well. Fast forward to now and we were looking to do some routine maintenance at 12k miles and come to find out what they actually sold us was Total Care which is a 3rd party program that I cannot even find info on where to get covered upkeep. The finance person was very sly by not stating that what he actually sold us was a 3rd party program and not ****** care. Additionally you don't realize this for the first two years because standard ****** care is included for that time frame. So even though we thought we were signing up for a 5 year ****** program we were slapped with a garbage third party program that we cannot use, spent thousands of dollars on and cannot get a refund. Very sleazy practices by this dealership and this warranty program, definitely buyers should be very aware of. Avoid ************************* all together as my research has shown this is common practice amongst these dealerships.

Bought an oil change package through the dealer only to find out (after a year) it expires in 1 year. How many people get 3 oil changes in one year in these new cars. That would mean that you're driving 30k to 40k miles per year. Called this company and they didn't want to try and help in any way whatsoever. It's almost like they deal with this issue on the daily and have a zero tolerance policy. I feel like I got scammed. What a joke. Avoid this company at all costs.

Bought an oil package through *************** dealership in the amount of $90 for 3 oil changes.I used one, 3 months later my transmission on my ****** Murano with less than ****** miles, needed to be replaced. I received a quote from ****** and the bill to replace the transmission was over $8,000. I decided to buy another vehicle. I requested a refund for the remaining 2 oil changes in the amount of $60, was told by ******, they use a third party - Total Care Auto Powered by Landcar. I had to fill out forms which I sent, was told I would receive a refund. After 2 months and no refund I called and again was told by **** that he would send a refund, another 45 days go by and no refund. I called again, this time **** said to much time had gone by and that there was a cancellation fee of $25.00, he said I would not receive any money. I called ****** accounting, talked to *******, and she repeated that **** had sent them an email that said I was not to receive any refund. The complaint is against Total Care Auto and ******.

I took my car in for a warranty repair at ************************* this past weekend. The service manager has been trying to contact you guys for the past 3 days to verify the warranty. According to the contract/warranty, the repair for the wheel bearing is covered. What does it take for you to call back to confirm? You guys are terrible. If I knew this would happen, I would never bought an extended warranty. TCA stand for Total C*** Agreement ****************

A claim was opened yesterday for this issue and is just waiting on documentation from the dealership to finish processing. I also show the customer is submitting documentation for reimbursement on a rental. If the customer has further questions they can reach out to me at ************.

Buy this warranty if you never plan on using it! The dealer (who sold me the warranty) will not honor parts of the warranty they dont want to deal with, and the warranty company is absolutely no help. They also force you to go to their dealers to get any work done, no matter how far or inconvenient, the last dealer they made me go to has had my car for 6 weeks. This company will not even stand behind their product and help you get issues resolved, if the dealer wont do the work, they just make excuses.

Without opting in I received unsolicited and deceptive text messages implying I had already purchased their Prepaid Maintenance Contract and they just needed some information to finalize my contract. This aggressive marketing is unethical and misleading at best and illegal false advertising at worst. TCA is a scam that youd be best to run from.
