    I am filing a complaint against absolute regarding their denial of my guarantee reimbursement for a lost laptop. I purchased the insurance with the understanding that it was covered by a guarantee reimbursement policy in case of loss. However, upon filing a claim, the company rejected my request, citing that the date of loss exceeded 14 days from the date of the police report. While I understand that policies have terms and conditions, nowhere in the criteria for eligibility did it state that the guarantee would be void if the loss was reported over 14 days from the date of the police report. As a consumer, I rely on the transparency and clarity of the terms provided by the company, and this information was not communicated adequately. I believe that the denial of my claim based on a condition that was not explicitly outlined in the terms is unjust and misleading. It is unreasonable to penalize me for a stipulation that was not clearly articulated at the time of purchase or in the policy documentation. I fulfilled my obligations by promptly reporting the loss to the authorities and following the necessary procedures outlined by the company. I expected the guarantee reimbursement to provide the promised coverage in the event of loss, which was a significant factor in my decision to purchase the product. Desired Resolution: I request that absolute honor their guarantee reimbursement policy and provide the reimbursement for the lost laptop as initially promised. Additionally, I urge the company to review and revise their policy terms to ensure that they are transparent, comprehensive, and accurately communicated to consumers. Conclusion: As a consumer, I rely on companies to uphold their commitments and provide fair treatment in accordance with the terms and conditions of their policies. The denial of my guarantee reimbursement based on undisclosed criteria is unacceptable, and I trust that the BBB will assist in resolving this matter fairly and equitably.
