In March 2022 I had a bridge put in by Jason H*****. I paid over 1,200 out of pocket and my insurance covered around 700.00 of it. I paid in full, as did my insurance. They have a sign at the front desk that says full payment is due at the time of appointment.
OVER ON E YEAR LATER in May of 2023 Sandy Dental emails me and sys that I owe them over 700.00. I was confused because myself and my insurance had paid in full OVER ONE YEAR AGO. They would not done the procedure had I not paid in full.
Fast forward to 14 months later. Sandy dental tells me that my Insurance asked for the funds back and so they gave them back to the insurance company. When I asked why they gave the insurance money back, The front desk supervisor, Joyce, said that “they had to give it back because they were asked” Joyce then told me to call my insurance myself and figure it out. She said this has never happened before and they didn’t know what was going on.
Joyce reluctantly said she would “Look into it”
Two weeks passed and Joyce did not follow up with her word and did not contact me or research the situation.

Sandy Dental will lie to you, treat you with disrespect and most of all, actively try to steal from you
They are trying to collect over 700.00 dollars from me 14 months after the procedure and when I ask them why, the best they can say is “They don’t know why they are charging me and will research”

They have not contacted me nor fixed the issue.
The dentist, Jason H***** and the front desk supervisor, Joyce, both told me that this is an insurance situation that has never happened before yet they continue to hold me, the patient, responsible. It is unethical to say the least.
I have also written to State Dental Board of Utah and The Utah Attorney General . I have advised them of Sandy Dentals illegal insurance practices as well as the staffs/dentists incompetence in their basic job duties
