      I have been paying $60 a month for the last 8 years to Avative for 1k Mbps internet. For the last at least 6 months I have been getting between 18.8-22 Mbps for both my download and upload speed.

      I work primarily from home, so this has been not only an issue personally, but also professionally. Making it so that I’ve had to drive an hour away into my office, just to work, since I can’t with the speeds I was getting from home.

      I had reached out to Avative through calls, emails, and texts. They say they don’t have any notes or records of these attempts at communication. It was only when I asked for a refund and threatened to cancel my service that I got a call back about sending a tech out to my home.

      I told them I needed a refund for at least the last month, but preferable the last six months. I spoke to their manager, *** - who said the only person above him was the CEO. *** was passive aggressive, filled with attitude, and incredibly unprofessional. He kept talking over me and a refund for my lack of service seemed to be an unfair request to him - at the end he gave me one for the last month, but it wasn’t without a fight.

      They’ve been opened for the last 12 years and I’ve been with them for 8 years and it was obvious to me that that meant nothing to them. Just another number.
