I contracted with Greg C***** of Contracting Plus to install a sprinkler system in April of 2023. It was supposed to be a new install. I had a previous system that was broken and hadn't been used for years! On April 21, 2023, I paid him $8000 down for the install. My original quote was for $9600 to complete it. On May 19, 2023, I was charged an additional $2800. They moved the lines for the system in the backyard and charged me $1500 to move them. I had a line break and found out that they had used the existing pipe that was in the ground. That pipe was 40 years old. It was all supposed to be new. September 25th, I had to pay an additional 150 to repair another broken line. On May 31 2024, I was again charged another $150. I learned that valves that they used were the ones that had been there originally. Since the sprinklers were installed, I have had an outrageous water bill. I have a continous water flow. I have had the water company out multiple times. I now have water constantly flowing from a valve and it won't shut off. I have since been told that the valve needs to be replaced and now this will cost me another $2500 because they want to move the valve box. The system doesn't work properly and I have spent a small fortune in landscaping that is all dead. I am going to have to pay someone else to fix it. If I call Greg C*****, I always get passed off to his assistant. I have been patient for over a year now and it is an absolute nightmare. I have been told that he overcharged me especially since he represented that it would be new equipment and he used preexisting that was old and outdated. He doesn't appear to take responsibility for anything. It doesn't appear that he guarantees his work. I have repeatedly asked for an invoice itemizing all the product and what was done. To this day, I have yet to receive it.
I am really tired of excuses.
