10/16/19 Total price $10,590.00. This was a cruise package to Italy, Greece, Croatia and Israel. It was to depart on 03/23/20-04/06/20. Obviously, we were cancelled due to Covid. We were given until November 2023 to use vouchers for the money that was paid. We waited until the end of April and went to book a cruise and the site was down for maintenance. We contacted them by email and received a response that they were unable at this time to book future cruises and would contact us in the future when they were able. I sent another email to them and heard nothing back. We have been extremely patient and were willing to use the vouchers for another cruise to somewhere we really didn't care about going just to use the vouchers. Unfortunately, it appears that they are a scam company who will not even work with us to offer even partial refunds or alternative arrangements. This is a lot of money for us and we never really travel so we thought since this was through the Glenn Beck program it would be safe. Any assistance regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Paid ~10k (including my now husband's half) for the Cruise Thru History that was first delayed then canceled because of Covid. Was told I did not have a refund option, but travel credits were good until November 2023. Got an email in September of 2022 that said a partial refund was available for 45 days, but missed the email so settled for their first option, which was still the travel credits. I go to use the site they provided today, and it's gone. No site to be found. I cannot select a cruise to use my travel credits on. The refund was also for less than 20%. Curious what they did with my money.

    1. The transaction dates are from 30 Dec 22 to 27 April 23
    2. We have paid a $500 initial deposit and $3050 in airline tickets
    3. The agency contracted to provide a 13 day trip from Las Vegas airport to London, London Temple, Paris, Paris Temple, Marseille, to cruise ship to Barcelona, cruise ship to Palma De Mallorca, to Rome, to Rome Temple, and Rome airport to Las Vegas. Contract provided for all transportation (air, bus, ship) all hotel, some meals and tour guide services. Total trip price was $5743 per person + $99 service fee = $11,585.00.
    4. The nature of the dispute is failure of the travel company to refund amount paid ($3550) following their 23 Feb 23 email notice to us that it was cancelling trip "...due to inflation and related increased costs for travel services." Cancellation email explained that all monies collected from us for the trip would be returned within 30 days of the 23 Feb email cancellation. The email also noted that any prepaid air fees would be returned by us contacting the air line directly for reimbursement. However, I thereafter contacted the airline and they explained that the air fee could only be returned to us through the travel agency since they had made the reservation on our behalf. I contacted the travel agency of this requirement in a 3 Mar 23 email. They replied via email that same day and stated that they would send the $3050 air refund to my credit card account (which I had used for both the initial deposit and the air fare). The money was not refunded so on 27 April 23 I sent the agency a demand email for full payment of the $3550. As of 1 Jun 2023, I have not received any refund and have not had any further communication (letter, email or phone call) from the agency.
    5. To my knowledge, the agency has made no effort to contact me or to repay this debt.
    6. My trip was assigned Reservation #*******. Company used names Cruise Builder, Vacation Builder and Latter Day Travel interchangeably.

We made out staggered payment on Nov 12. .,2019 for $500 ,Dec 10.2020 for $1000 and on Dec 31,2019 for $2090 for a cruise that was scheduled to sail on April 09,2020 -April 19,2020.The said cruise was cancelled due to pandemic and we were promised to get a voucher for a future cruise. That was the reason why I was not able to file a complaint because there was no definite date on when the cruise is going to happen due to the pandemic.
I have repeatedly contacted them and I kept getting the same promises. So lately as of April 2023 I am not able to contact them anymore. Please help. My husband and I are of both advance in age and want to have our money returned.
    Thank you so very much.

I read that the BBB is doing an investigation on Cruisebuilders. I am one that lost $13,700 from them. Paid for a cruise in July of 2019 that was to take place in March of 2020. Postponed until May of 2020, the postponed until October of 2020. They finally "cancelled" the cruise offering us full credits for a future cruise. Most of us spent more money than a regular cruise would have cost, due to it was a "Glen B***-Cruise through History". Some were able to use their credits. We were told we had until November 2023. In February I found out via a facebook page that they could no longer honor the credits, but would let us know if they could some time in the future. I emailed Customer Service and finally received the "form letter", but they didn't just send it to all of us. I have complained through BBB before, with them responding with the same "form letter". No offer to refund our money. No explanation of where our money went. Now they won't answer phone calls, emails, and have apparently moved their office somewhere no one can find them. I have also contacted their "sister Companies". They are still offering cruises, so why can't they help bail out Cruisebuilders for Cruises that were already paid for???? I have been offered to go through a group case against them, but I truly don't think they will win it. I have also tried to go through mediation, which is specifically mentioned in the original terms and conditions, with no response. I know I wont get a response from them on this, but am adding myself to the list of people that have filed a complaint.

    Thank you,
    **** and **** *****

In October 2019, my husband and I, along with another couple, made reservations for an 8-day cruise to Italy and Spain to happen in May 2020; we paid in full up front – approximately $2400 per person, including airfare – which was a great deal. Fast forward to May 2020, obviously, the cruise was cancelled. We were told our money could not be refunded but we would get a voucher. I asked for a voucher for a Carnival Cruise since Carnival owns Costa Cruises and we didn’t want to fly any place and we could have easily taken a cruise out of any port on the East Coast of the US. But, we were told no. In the meantime, the husband from the couple we are going to travel with has experience a medical emergency and was in an induced coma for 4 weeks. The end result is extremely weakened limbs (arms and legs) which makes the excursions impossible. They presented this to Cruisebuilders asking for a refund but were told they could transfer just the husband’s ticket to a family member. They decided to do the cruise anyway and just stay on the boat instead of partaking in any excursions. We decide that we will take the cruise in September 2022. When we went to book it, the only cruises you could choose from (from their entire site) were double the price of our voucher even though the same cruises offered on the Costa Cruise site were half the price. We were told more options were being added all the time. All the options were double the price. We have been unable to book the cruise or resolve this. We would like to be reimbursed or at the very least have our voucher honored by Costa Cruise (or Carnival Cruise).

On August 11, 2020 my husband and I purchased Glenn B***'s cruise through history scheduled for May 2021. The full amount paid for both tickets was $10,290. Then COVID broke out in 2021, and the trip was canceled and rescheduled for the following year. The following year the cruise again was canceled and we were told at that time we had three options, and we chose to use the credit on another tour in the upcoming two years. We had decided what cruise to take but had a lot of trouble contacting the travel agency to get it booked. Phone calls not returned, office hours inconvenient (time zone), no matter how hard we tried we just could not get a hold of someone to talk to. This past week, we tried again to call the office. We called two different numbers found on a printed email from CruiseBuilders and the numbers were not in service. We then searched the Internet for this agency and discovered that the problem was not only ours, but many others who had booked this cruise and other cruises also.

On 7/13/2022 a charge of $2,846.00 was put on my credit card by Vacation Builder, also known as LATTER DAY TRAVEL, as a deposit/down payment on a trip for my husband and I to tour Israel/Italy in October of 2023. A second payment for the trip was charged to my card around January 2, 2023 for the same amount: $2,846.00.

On 2/23/2023 the above company/companies emailed me stating that our tour was being cancelled due to 'inflation, significant financial pressure and increased travel service costs.' Additionally the email stated, "In accordance with the terms and conditions you entered into, you will receive a refund within the next 30 days. This will be processed by the same method you made your payment."

Since then I have received no refund posted to my credit card. Additionally, no email or phone calls are being responded to by these businesses.

In April of 2019 my husband and I purchased a travel package from Cruisebuilder located in South Jordan, UT for a 17 night air and cruise trip to Israel and Italy. We paid $$7,890. Then COVID hit and trip was CX. We then rebooked the trip with them when they were beginning travel again for April 23, 2023. They required that we pay an extra fee of $1,430 as they stated costs had increased. We paid that amount also making our total cost for the trip $8,920.
When it was almost time to travel the trip was CX with no reimbursement given to us. Total scam.
