Purchased a vacation package from Latter Day Travel/VacationBuilder on December 14, 2022 for the amount of $9, 754.00. We were informed on February 23, 2023 that our trip had been cancelled due to 'inflationary market conditions, which are in addition to lingering impacts of COVID-related restrictions.' We were informed that we would receive a refund within 30 days. We contacted the company on March 23, 2023 to inform them that we had not received our refund. They replied back that their 'finance department was working very hard to get everyone's refunds out in a timely manner.' We still have not received a refund and this company does not answer emails, and their phone directs us to contact them by email.Initial Complaint

In July of 2019 Rand (employee of Latter Day Travel) called us with information we had provided to Latter Day Travel expressing interest in a 17 night cruise/tour to Israel
- Venice - Rome cruise - Rome. We booked the trip to travel in April 2020 and made a down payment of 2,100.00 with our credit card on July 12, 2019. We paid the balance of 5,790.00 with our credit card on September 11, 2019. Prior to our departure date we were notified that the trip was cancelled due to covid. We asked for a refund but they would not even consider it. We were given credit for our trip in the form of voucher #*******.
We booked a 2nd trip using our voucher and had to pay an additional amount of 411.06 on January 8, 2021. We planned on traveling in April 2021. This trip was also cancelled due to covid and our voucher credit was extended. It was explained to us that we had until November of 2023 to use our voucher for travel by November 2024. (When we booked the first trip we had also purchased trip insurance thru AIG for 482.00 and this policy's voucher was given a one-time extension for the additional cost of 94.64 and expired on April 10, 2022.
We began the process of booking a third trip in December of 2022 to travel in November of 2023. There were delays in answers to our emails beginning in January of 2023. After sending several e-mails we started trying to call but to no avail. We would wait a week then call again. We began trying different extensions with no luck, so we sent an e-mail to **************************, still no response and so we tried the "make a payment' extension and still no answer. We had friends wanting to book to travel with us and so she tried googling how to contact them. It was then we saw reviews from others stating they were having the same problems that we were in not being able to contact anyone at Vacation builder, Cruise builder, Latter Day Travel. These people have over 8,300.00 of our money and we aren't sure what to do about it.

They cancelled a trip to Italy and Greece. Said they would refund our money in 30 days. They have not done so. We paid up front $7,500. for two people, with credit card. Wells Fargo is handling the dispute. We want to be on the list of complaints. We watched the Gephard news report last weekend. This is horrible to do to so many people.Initial Complaint

I booked a trip through Latter Day Travel / Vacation Builder / Cruise Builder to Italy, Greece and Jerusalem. It was scheduled for October 2023. After making several deposits through automatic transfers from my credit card, I received an email on February 23, 2023, telling me that they were facing "significant financial pressure due to inflation and related increased costs for travel services." Because of this and "lingering impacts of COVID-related restrictions", it was not possible to go forward with our planned trip.
Of course, that was disappointing, but they said we would receive a refund within the next 30 days. This refund has not yet come, over 60 days later and they have not responded to any of my emails. There is no way to contact them through phone as their message says they now communicate only through email.
At this point, it would appear our money (almost $5,000) is lost.Initial Complaint

In 2020 we had an incredibly expensive cruise and travel package booked with Latter Day Travel. It was postponed due to Covid. In 2022 I was able to use a credit and book another cruise and travel package with the same company. In February 2023 I received an email stating my travel was canceled, without any further explanation. The company has been unresponsive. I would love help seeking a refund for my incredibly expensive trip. Please let me know if you have any way to contact this company. Even if they file bankruptcy, they can't just cancel and keep our money. Please help.Initial Complaint

We purchased a tour package with Latter Day Travel. We were to leave August 28, 2023. Total cost was $9933.00. We made the initial deposit on December 2, 2022 of $500.00
We were then doing monthly payments by credit card until the trip was paid. On 1/15/2023 $1886.60 was taken. On 2/15/2023 another was taken. On 1/6/2023 we had some questions about our trip so we went out to their address to talk with someone face to face. They seemed surprised to see us but after a few awkward moments one person offered to speak with us. He was able to answer our questions and we felt better about our plans. He then talked about travel insurance and do we purchased a policy from Travel Guard AIG for $915.20. The seller for the policy was Project Neptune INC. Turns out Project Neptune, Latter Day Travel, Vacation Builders and Cruise Builders are all one in the same.
So;
Vacation Builders
Reservation #*******
$4273.00 paid
Travel Guard

$915.20 paid
On 2/23/2023 I received the email stating that our trip had been cancelled. They cited financial pressures and the lingering effects of Covid. They stated we would receive a full refund within 30 days and it would be processed by the same way we had paid.
Every phone number we called for information stated that all correspondence should be done by email. We waited the 30 days and then started the emails. We have not received any responses to over 15 emails.
So just looking for the refund for what we paid

7/19/2019. I paid my first installment on a trip of a lifetime to Italy, Croatia, Greece and Israel. I have not sent in a complaint until now because I was in contact with CruiseBuilder and believed what they were saying. The cruise was paid for in full by March 2020 and then covid hit and the cruise was postponed and they (CruiseBuilder) was giving us updated information. I have been in contact with them via email for these years as the situation was becoming clearer and had every belief in what they were telling me, but now they do not answer calls and the last email I received from them stated they do not know when or if they would be able to book a new cruise. Payments I made were $5,671.67 to cruisebuilder. CruiseBuilders own contract states if the cruise is cancelled then the client would be refunded. They spent months and months not Cancelling the cruise, but it did official get cancelled. I would be so happy to give you any information needed to help resolve the situation.Initial Complaint

We booked a cruise/ Rome Italy temple tour. we booked in 2019 and were to take the trip in 2020. because of Covid we were told our trip was cancelled. We tried to get our money refunded since it was cancelled but they said our only choice was to rebook. We called several times and others in our party went into their office to speak with them. We were told we could rebook but they could no longer include airfare. We were given a site we could book from prices had doubled, so essentially paid the same amount again minus the air fare we would need to purchase on our own. Several in our group rebooked and before we had booked, they were sent a letter saying their trip had been cancelled. Additional documents can be provided as needed.
