We were contacted by REI Dads wanting to buy our house as is. They told us they would pay us within two weeks if we would take one price and more if we waited 3 months. After reading about them on the internet, we declined their offer. Then, a few weeks later, my husband was approached by someone else that wanted to buy and offered us a higher price and said that we could close in 2 weeks. He was to pay us $100 in earnest money, but he never did and the next thing we knew, he was advertising it for sale. We also found out that he was with REI Dads as well. All of this was without my consent to sell, only my husband's and being 80 years of age, does not always use sound judgement. My name is on the deed as well. I have informed them that they do not have my consent to sell and they told my husband that they will have their lawyer call. They are still ignoring me. He did sign an agreement to sell to them, but I did not.

I purchased a tax l through REI Holdings on Parcel *** *** *** in the Hartford County. I was being paid back in 200.00 increments. It was going well when I received a 600.00 check stating it was the final portion owed. They were moving on to pay the second lein holder. I was shorted almost 2000.00. called speaking with Beverly. I was told to submit a form on line which I did and never received a response. This company owes me not only the shorted amount from what I paid but interest on that amount.

This company completely misrepresented their product. We've done other forms of real estate investing and thought we had done my due diligence before proceeding with this. We thought we even negotiated a "deal" on their initial packages offered to gain access to their lists of liens for only a few thousand. We witnessed people being coerced to put tens of thousands down for their programs on multiple credit cards! Both liens cost a total of $25,683.55, plus thousands attorney fees so they can handle all paperwork. We were guaranteed an 18% return, plus initial investment back once liens were redeemed. Upon closure of accounts I was only returned $15, 885.83. I've tried multiple numbers to reach someone. All I get is music or voicemail. If whoever owns/owned this company could ever be brought to trial I would love to be part of a class action lawsuit. There should be no reason why the people involved could not be found and brought to justice.
