On October 28, 2023 Envirotech told us they required half ($2600) of our deductible from insurance to start the mitigation process for initial pipe leak. Upon settlement from our insurance company we asked Envirotech for the refund of the $2600. We made numerous requests from John L***** for this refund, but he didn't seem to understand. We talked to our adjuster, and he informed us that Envirotech should not have required the $2600 to start the mitigation, because the deductible is taken from the settlement by the insurance company. We asked the adjuster to contact John L***** to inform him to return the $2600.
November 29, 2023 we paid in full $2616.42 for flooring project - tile removal, demo laminate floor, install/labor for new vinyl flooring, transition pieces and quarter round on perimeter. On December 14, 2023 we received an email informing us of our refund. $545.78 was deducted from the $2600 refund for floor prep of the floor project. We were not informed of any extra charges when we paid in full $2616.42 for the floor project. These charges were taken out after we asked for the $2600 refund. We feel this was retaliation because we elected to take on the repairs ourselves.
