6/22/24: I have a letter from Waypoint, stating my "account" is past due and will be reported to collections unless I pay. There is a pay by mail to Dish Network, ********************************************************************. My DISH account was closed last year and paid in full. No amount owed is given in the letter. I will be contacting this bunch of thieves on 6-26-24, as well as DISH network, as well as my attorney. As well, I will be filing a complaint with BBB in **** and with the ****************************** in ****. *******************

They just know about collecting the money from *************** customers. They never or just pretend to listen to your story. They often hang up the call to make you call them again. What they care about is dollars.

They mail correspondence stating that accept disputes electronically at "www.waypoint.com/help/disputes" but that web address isn't functional.

Knowing that this outfit is not BBB certified and does not & should not be rated not even a 1/4 of a star. I check my credit report monthly and in doing so in November 2022, I saw a COLLECTION from Waypoint RG for $437.00! After calming down I researched and this is a CABLE account that does not belong to me but to a relative. I did not live with the person! I owned a home in another city, but I COSIGNED on a apartment lease to keep a roof over the children's heads and to get them in a place to sleep other than a car! This outfit took this information and ran with it. No research or background check. The CREDIT COLLECTION industry purchase accounts and run quickly to the bank in hopes of making a hole in one! THIS IS ILLEGEAL and to post incorrect and untrue information on a persons' credit report. This is not the wild, wild west! I spoke with my attorney and I will take further actions if WAYPOINT does not remove this erroneous info off my credit report STAT I will have to take further actions! The company was informed and the collection notice has not been removed. This is illegal, pure and simple.Thank you

Xfinity created my new acct when I moved from West to East Coast in 2017. I paid previous balance in full, however the account was never closed and I start receiving pass due mails frequently. I callled xfinity several times and was told that acct was all cleared. In 2020 when I was applying for a home loan when I founded the case was still open and it went to tax collector. I paid full amount of $85 to the tax collector company to settle down the dispute that was affecting towards my pre-qualifing home buying process. Unfortunately, I didn't get any receipt for my records. In May 2023 when I re-applied for home loan it was brought to my attention that the same case was reopened.I ended up paying ASAP $85 (again) to a tax collector company "WayPoint" to avoid any hurdles towards applying homeowners loan. Payment made over the phone and requested receipt immediately. 2 weeks later I was informed by my loan originator the case was still open. I called WayPoint and was assured that balance was "0" at their end and credit bureau needs to update in the system. I asked them about my receipt again which I didn't receive. I called credit bureau and I was told that they haven't heard from WayPoint regarding my case. I was advised to contact WayPoint and ask for an authorization letter indicating of receiving the payment to expedite the process of updating my credit profile. I called WayPoint immediately and ask them to provide the authorization letter, which at first, they said they don't offer such request. I reminded them of my receipt 3rd time which I'm still waiting to receive. Each time they verified my email address, but never sent any email confirmation. I have already check email spam folder. I'm afraid if I don't receive a payment confirmation email, my prediction is the dispute will reopen in the future. Filling a complaint against them to bbb.org
