On contacted S-Tac Concrete on September 21st 2023 to come do excavation, footings, foundation, and concrete floor for a garage for us. We told Peter, the owner, several times that from the property line to the foundation wall that it needed to be 30 inches. When we showed up when they were laying out the garage they were measuring from the edge of the driveway and not the property line. The the footings didn't have very many forms but just used the dirt as a form. Then the real problems came with the foundation. In the contract he states that he would follow all measurements on the plan. On the plan the measurement from finish grade to top of foundation was 8 in but could be 12 inches because the height of the garage needed to be under 14 feet so we kept stressing to him it couldn't be too high. The rebar was set at 22 inches above finish grade. He then had the two exterior doors formed too small to fit the doors on the plans so we had to have him change those before he poured the concrete. He then poured the foundation out of level, out of square, wavey on top. Then when he went to pour the concrete floor he was 3 1/2 inches too high so we had to have him change that before he poured. He tried to fix the top of the foundation by putting concrete on top but made it worse now we are left to try and fix it. He has left a mess throughout the whole time they were doing the job. We are also left to clean up all their mess. They had a current license when they started but didn't renew it by November 30th 2023. He has had employees working for him but I'm not sure if he has it listed as he has employees. We do not want him back on the job to try to fix anything because he just makes it worse. They also put a hole in the fence and deny that it was them.
