      I contacted this business to come out and replace a mailbox lock because I had lost my only key. I asked for a quote and was told it would be $60-$80 for the lock. When **** came the next day, the price of the lock had jumped to $140-$190. I should have walked away but I just wanted the job done. When he finished the install I was given an invoice for the job. I was $65 for a service call, $119 for the unlock, $148 for the new lock, and $90 for the install. With taxes, I was charged $451.54 for a mailbox lock! Do not use this service!

      Dear BBB,I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service provided by your company on Jan.9 2025. We hired your locksmith to change a lock that was malfunctioning. It was not an emergency, and we specifically requested an estimate before any work was done.However, your employee arrived and immediately began removing the lock without providing an estimate or discussing options with us. When we asked for an estimate, he falsely claimed he had already given it to us. He then left to purchase a new lock and returned to install it, presenting my husband with a bill for $2,327. This amount is exorbitant and far beyond what we *********** husband informed the employee that we had not received an estimate and that the charge was excessive. The employee again falsely claimed he had provided an estimate. Furthermore, the employee and his friend applied psychological pressure on my husband, who was home alone, to pay the bill.This conduct is unacceptable and unprofessional. We request a refund of the overcharged amount. We also expect an apology for the distress caused by your employees behavior.Please address this matter urgently. We hope to resolve this issue amicably, but we will consider further action if necessary.Thank you,****
