We just returned from a *********************** our Class A motorhome. During the early stages of our trip we had one of our two air conditioners quit working. As we were on a roadtrip - we contacted two mobile ********** providers who said they were certified to work on air conditioners. One was in ***********, Mn and the other in **********, **. Neither could repair the ** and both said that we needed to replace the **. We limped through the rest of our trip - hoping and praying that the second unit would not quit working - as that would have spelled disaster - as we had to return to *******. Upon our return - we made an appt at State Trailer in ******, **. I explained the entire story expecting to be told that an expensive new air conditioners was required.A few days later, I received a calll from "*****" the service manager who explained that I only need a small inexpensive part and that I now had two completely functioning air conditioners. We are impressed with the integrity, honesty and communication of State Trailer and the staff who run the repair service department. Thanks for a job well done - you have earned our respect and future business.************

Not happy with experience I had with State Trailer. We rent our C lass motorhomes on a Rental Platform my wife and I had work done on our first Rig after finding this shop and they did great work on the issue we had. We had our family taking our other Rig out for a trip so we brought it to State Trailer since they did work on our other Rig for their 40+ point inspection after keeping it for 5 days we received our Inspection checklist which in the tech notes stated FRONT TIRE IS WEARING AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. My wife and I then went to tire shop and replaced both front tires that day. Now it gets interesting! During their trip , my family members contacted me in a panic stating that both back passenger tires blew out which could have caused a SERIOUS or FATAL accident!! At that point I contacted service advisor at State Trailer who checked with Technician that performed inspection, she contacted me back and stated that they do not inspect tires and the Tech did it out of courtesy. This is clearly a lie as it is stated on both their Service Brochure and their Inspection Checklist (this was also checked off on the list by Tech that Tires were inspected and also his notes). After speaking with GM, he stated to me that tires are not part of their inspections, which was another lie told to me. We were willing to work with them as we had another appointment for our other Rig for the same inspection service. He stated that since we weren't established customer, that there was nothing he could do for us. BEWARE!!!!!

Not happy with ************************* experience. Had my furnace bench test 8/23. Tech found no problems so I paid $80 for the test, bought a new thermostat for $65 and installed everything in my rv and heat still would not work. I called a mobile rv tech as State could not check it out for 6 weeks who discovered the tech who originally did my bench test left a switch turned off inside the heater. He turned it on and the new thermostat must have been the original problem as the system worked. He charged me $165 to basically turn on the internal board switch the State Tech had left off. I went back to State Trailer ****** to get reimbursed for the tech turning off the switch costing me $$$ and he told me no way as I probably turned it off when I reinstalled it. I got blamed for his mistake. ********

*********** did have his furnace bench tested. The furnace was out of the rig when we received it. To test a furnace, the on/off switch must be turned on. The technician has no reason to touch the switch unless it is off. If the technician turns it on, it is left on because the furnace will not function otherwise. Once the technician tests the furnace, there is no reason to touch the switch. *********** picked up his furnace and installed it back into his rig himself. The switch was most likely switched off as the unit was reinstalled due to the tight quarters and handling of the furnace as it was reinstalled. It's unfortunate that *********** had to have additional service done to troubleshoot the furnace, but we don't assume liability for how the furnace is installed back into the rig unless we perform the re-install.
