      I went in the Dr. Qureshi’s office for general cleaning on 7/6/2022 . He has sent me a bill for 423.50$ . I called my insurance and even they said that it seems like they have charged me too much money . Please help me resolve this matter .

      To whom it may concern, 

      This letter is in response to the above listed complaint ID (********). 

      The complaint states that the customer received a bill for $423.50 after coming to our office for a general cleaning. While a cleaning was performed, there were also other procedures performed at that visit: a periodic oral exam, which is coded and billed separately and in addition to the cleaning, and our standard annual x-rays to monitor for decay and other potential issues. There was a total of 7 x-rays taken that day, and these too are billed and coded separately and in addition to the cleaning. While the exam is a requirement (a cleaning can not be performed without an exam), the x-rays, though recommended, can be declined by the patient. 

      These are our regular fees, and they have not changed since the patient's prior visit one year earlier on 07/19/2021. For that visit, the patient was billed, and paid by check the remaining balance after insurance paid their portion and a new patient discount was applied. 

      The complaint states as well that their insurance told them that we charged too much. The fact is that while the customer has the same insurance as the year before, the insurance paid much less than last year as they are using a lower fee schedule this year. 

      To resolve this issue, we are willing to offer a discount in good faith of 25% off of the customer's balance, or if the customer is unable to pay the entire amount all at once we would accept four monthly payments to clear the balance.
