      *** was dispatched to my house by American Home Shield. I was very Happy with the technician and his knowledge. Part of the repair requested was to have my ducting properly connected to my package unit. My unit is missing a duct collar and the ducting is just zipped tied to a small lip, that the collar would attach to, causing the ducting to work itself loose. I have a background in Marine A/C&R, and I am an EPA certified refrigeration technician. I have done duct work in my younger years, and understand the extent of what needs to be done on this job. The Duct collar if roughly a $25 part plus or minus some depending on where it is purchased. The work should take 30 minutes to 1 hour **** At a labor rate of $150 an hour, plus parts the job should max out at $175. ATR is telling me and AHS that the repair cost is $675. I have requested an itemized repair invoice from ATR to justify the cost, and I have been told that I can not have one. *** is commenting fraud and scamming people for work not covered by the warranty company.
