    I paid for car service from my house in *******, ** to ************** on March 21, 2024 for my family of five. We were headed for an international trip and it was important to secure a car/SUV that could handle our family of 5 plus our luggage. We had used MK Black *********** through Uber a month before and had no issues. Upon my request an invoice was sent I am paid using my credit card. An hour later the owner called and said there were issues with the credit card (not sure what they were because there was already a pending charge against my credit card) and requested I pay via venmo or apple pay. Should have been a red flag, but I went ahead and paid $150 via apple pay. On March 21 I was had requested the car arrive at 3:45. I get a call a few minutes before that telling me they would be 30 minutes late (due to a sniper in the DC area -- could not find this at all on the news). At that point I canceled and requested a refund as I couldn't afford to be late for the international trip. I was told I would be refunded within a week. Here we are two months later, multiple phone calls and texts with a variety of excuses (e.g., i have an international bank, i refunded the wrong person and am waiting to get that money back, i don't have time right now, etc..) of why the refund hasn't happened. Always with I will pay it next week.The owner will insist I canceled and shouldn't be refunded. It was clear when I requested to cancel that he said he would refund and he didn't provide the service which I paid for. All I ask is that my $150 be refunded. I don't think he ever planned on doing so.
