    On April 17th, 2023 we took our money order for 300$ to ******** ******* Apartments for a security deposit. On May 3rd we were denied. ***** in the office told us we had to wait until May 12th, 2023 to get our money back. When I called ***** back the same day and asked could I pick it up today she explained that she sent it to her company office so we wouldn't be able to get it back that day. So I called the company to ask about the policy on the situation and was told that if she sent in the money order I would have to wait for a check. If she did not I would get my same money order, so someone from the company told me to call and check the money order to see if it was cashed. So thats when I found out that it was cashed on April 19th, 2023. After ***** found out we called her company she told us to come and get a new money order on May 09, 2023. So we picked the new money order up and cannot cash it for our money. When we told the company they are not trying to fix the situation. ***** gave us a money order with their business address written on paid to the order of as if she gave us someone else money order that could have paid for that same apartment we got denied for.

    ****************** did submit his money order for $300 to ******** ******* for a security deposit on a uint (#***********).  Unfortunately housing denied him a unit at ******** ******* because the rent was higher than his subsidy provider was willing to pay.  ****************** asked for a refund of his deposit.  Unfortunately his orginial money order was misplaced so the property staff purchased another money order and gave it to ****************** (#***********).  ****************** claimed he could not cash the money order because it had the property address on the money order.  However, the money order line "pay to the order of" was not filled out so all he had to do was insert his name and cash the money order. He repeatedly stated he could not cash it so we offered for him to come to the office and exchange that money order (***********) for another money order without any information filled in.  After numerous attempts to contact ******************, he refused to come to the property office or the corporate office to exchange the money order.  We have checked on the replacement money order (***********) and ****************** has since cashed the money order and we consider this matter closed.
